This time with 1st round pick Pacman Jones going off on a nightclub bouncer.
A couple of warrants were issued early Wednesday morning for the Titans first round pick, Adam "Pacman" Jones. He is wanted for assault and vandalism, after an incident at an area nightclub.

Two men who said they were assaulted by Pacman Jones, appeared before the Night Court Commissioner, demanding the Titans rookie be taken into custody. The general manager of the club, along with a bouncer claim they were assaulted by Jones just after midnight at the downtown nightclub. The incident is believed to have taken place when a few of Pacman's friends were asked to leave the nightclub for allegedly smoking marijuana. It was at this moment Pacman was said to have lost it and lunged at the two men. The general manager said Pacman ripped his shirt and broke the necklace he was wearing.

Fisher has to be be pulling his hair out by now.

And here's another guy who's going to join Sean Taylor in the secondary on my "All-Too Much Trouble" team.

what would make it worse is if jones had been smoking pot with his buddies. i would like to see him get tested!

some people just dont get it...

Well, I also hate to see someone with this much ability take wrong turns like this but I've got to admit. If it's going to happen to anyone in the NFL then by all means let it be a division rival. Pity it was the Titans though. They've had enough bad luck this offseason. I'd have preferred it happen to the Jags or Colts. ;)

the funny thing is, if he had been smoking pot, this incident never would have happened. you never hear about someone smoking some pot and assaulting people, its usually alcohol related.

Didn't see it posted yet. If it has been, forgive me.

'Pacman' Jones surrenders after nightclub fray
Associated Press

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans' top draft pick, cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, surrendered to police Wednesday on charges of assault and vandalism stemming from a nightclub altercation.

Jones was released from custody after posting bond. He did not comment to reporters as he left the jail.

"If this gentleman was not a Titan, you would not be here," Jones' lawyer, Roger May, told reporters.

A Titans spokesman said the team was aware of the situation and was monitoring it but had no immediate comment.

In a court appearance, nightclub owner Robert Gaddy said Jones grabbed his shirt, hit him and broke his necklace after Gaddy asked three of Jones' friends to leave the club. Gaddy told police he asked Jones' friends to leave because "they were smoking drugs."

In April, Georgia authorities investigated a report that Jones was involved in a fight in a nightclub near Atlanta in April, but no charges were filed against him in that case.

The 5-foot-10 Jones, who played for West Virginia, was the first defensive player taken in the NFL Draft in April.

He hurt himself in the Titans' rookie orientation on April 29 and couldn't practice with the team until June 14.

But Tennessee took him for his 4.45-second speed in the 40-yard dash and 37 ½-inch vertical jump as they try to replace veterans Samari Rolle and Andre Dyson.

What? Without delving into this comment deeper, how do you know Jones wasn't on The Chronic?

Yeah, and if that "gentleman" had a clue... he would not be there.

Funny thing about doing illegal things out in the public....you tend to get into trouble with the law.
Amazing how that works, isn't it? :woot2
Nashville can't catch a break this season, can they. :ouch:

Jones Sues for Conspiracy, Defamation, Slander
Associated Press

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Adam "Pacman" Jones, Tennessee's top draft pick, responded Thursday to the men who accused him of hitting them at a nightclub by suing them on charges of conspiracy, defamation and slander.

With his agent in town to try to complete his contract, Jones had his lawyer file the suit in Davidson County Circuit Court against club manager Robert Gaddy and his brother Lamar Woodson. The men pressed charges against Jones on July 13 and he was arrested on two counts of misdemeanor assault and a felony count of vandalism.

Jones is asking for $7.5 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

Agent Michael Huyghue said the lawsuit was filed because the men's attorney had asked for $250,000 to drop the charges against the sixth pick overall and the first defensive player taken in the draft.

...

Gaddy accused Jones of pushing him and knocking off a gold chain after Gaddy, the club manager, asked the cornerback to leave. Jones had rented the club for a private party after a Destiny's Child concert. Gaddy called the accusation that they asked for $250,000 "humorous."

"I've got to stand strong on my principles that I can't let whether it be a Titan, a Texan, Jaguar or any other celebrity or average Joe off the street come in here and do what they want to do in my facility and cause me problems. I just can't have it," said Gaddy, a friend of Titans quarterback Steve McNair.

A hearing on the charges was postponed Thursday until Dec. 8.

At least he's not boring. I'll give him that.

Looks like they're waiting to see who blinks first. Pacman is counting on his new contract (which he doesn't have) for this bluff.

Sure these guys are trying to bilk him out of some money, but Pacman is gonna have to pay up something to someone eventually anyway. Not to mention jailtime. I doubt he wins any sort of defamation suit, this is just him trying to get them to see 7.5 million and crawl back into their hole.
