Mock Draft v. 2.0

With under one week left until the draft, I thought I'd put together a 3 round mock draft with some assistance from Coach C since my last mock draft is pretty outdated now. We are assuming no trades are going to happen for this mock, so here it is:

1st Round
1) Houston Texans - Reggie Bush, RB, USC - I still prefer Mario Williams and think he would make a bigger impact on the team, but I think enough people in the Texans FO prefer Bush and he will be their pick.
2) New Orleans Saints - Mario Williams, DE, N.C. State - Mario is simply the BPA here, and the Saints could definitely use an improved pass rush and have said they could move Charles Grant inside to DT, so if they stay at #2 Mario is their pick.
3) Tennessee Titans - Matt Leinart, QB, USC - Steve McNair looks like he's on his way out and they will need a new QB to be ready as soon as possible. Leinart is the most ready QB, he played for Norm Chow for 2 years (was at USC with him for 4 years), and he won a national championship and Heisman trophy in his system, so I think he is the 1st QB off the board and will go to Tennessee barring a trade up from another team.
4) New York Jets - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia - It sounds like they don't want to take a QB this high in the draft as they consider it too risky and they just gave Pennington a large contract, so they take arguably the BPA and the best OLineman available to help protect their seemingly fragile QB.
5) Green Bay Packers - A.J. Hawk, LB, Ohio St. - The Packers need a lot of help in a lot of places, and I don't think they're in a great position to trade up or down so they will stay here and take the 2nd best defensive player in the draft.
6) San Francisco 49ers - Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland - The 49ers need to surround Alex Smith with some offensive weapons to help in his development and to improve the NFL's worst offense from last year, and Davis is the best option for their offense.
7) Oakland Raiders - Vince Young, QB, Texas - I think Arizona would be the best place for Vince Young to be and I think that Jay Cutler would fit better with the receiving group that the Raiders have, but I think Vince is the better QB and Al Davis needs to generate some kind of attention for his team.
8) Buffalo Bills - Winston Justice, OT, USC - The Bills need help at DT, and OLine, and while Ngata/Bunkley have been my pick for them for a long time I think Winston Justice has raised his stock enough and OT is more valuable than a DT, so I think he will be their pick.
9) Detroit Lions - Michael Huff, CB/S, Texas - The Lions need help everywhere on defense other than at DT while their offense is pretty solid, and Huff is definitely the best available defensive player for their team.
10) Arizona Cardinals - Jay Cutler, QB, Vanderbilt - Kurt Warner has one, maybe two years left in him, and after losing Josh McCown and with a group of young talented WRs Cutler would be a great pick to build their offense around for the coming years. If Winston Justice is available I could see them taking him over Cutler, but if Justice is gone then I definitely think Cutler is their guy.
11) St. Louis Rams - Jimmy Williams, CB/S, Virginia Tech - The Rams secondary needs some help and Jimmy Williams has the size to play FS and showed he still had the speed to play CB, and he is the best option for their team here.
12) Cleveland Browns - Brodrick Bunkley, DE/DT, Florida St. - The Browns have spent a lot of money helping their offense so far this offseason and need to address their defense, and I think Crennel will love to add Bunkley as he can play either NT or DE for their 3-4 system, similar to a stronger, probably more athletic version of Richard Seymour that Crennel enjoyed in New Englad.
13) Baltimore Ravens - Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon - The Ravens were really hoping that Justice or Bunkley would fall to them, but with both of them gone they'll happily take the biggest hole plugger in the draft to occupy blockers up front and help free up Ray Lewis to become the terror he used to be.
14) Philadelphia Eagles - Ernie Sims, LB, Florida St. - Taking a WR will definitely be tempting, but Ernie Sims is just the type of LB that the Eagles like in their system as he can range sideline to sideline and get back in coverage as well, so in a bit of a surprise to some people I think the Eagles will take him with their 1st pick.
15) Denver Broncos - Chad Jackson, WR, Florida - This is an easy pick. Rod Smith is nearing the end of his career, Ashley Lelie hasn't been what they hoped and sounds like he is wanting to leave the Mile High City, so the pick comes down to Chad Jackson vs. Santonio Holmes. While Santonio Holmes is the better overall WR right now, Mike Shanahan traditionally likes larger WRs and is never one to go with conventional wisdom, so I see them taking Jackson here.
16) Miami Dolphins - Jason Allen, CB/S, Tennessee - The Dolphins have some serious holes in their secondary, and Jason Allen can play either CB or S for them, plus Nick Saban has a lot of ties to the SEC and seems to like getting players from that conference, so Allen is their pick.
17) Minnesota Vikings - Chad Greenway, LB, Iowa - The Vikings still need to find a better combination of defensive players, and Chad Greenway is a great value here and fills a definite need for them.
18) Dallas Cowboys - Kamerion Wimbley, LB, Florida St. - The Cowboys need a S, but Kamerion Wimbley opposite of DeMarcus Ware would be a great combination at OLB.
19) San Diego Chargers - Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio St. - This is another easy pick, as the Chargers definitely need another WR threat and Santonio Holmes should fall right into their laps here. I expect they will be on stage with their selection card as soon as Tagliabue is finished announcing the Cowboys selection.
20) Kansas City Chiefs - Tye Hill, CB, Clemson - The Chiefs need to shore up their pass defense, and Tye Hill is arguably the best pure CB in this draft and will be their choice among several good CBs available.
21) New England Patriots - DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis - The Patriots lost some players this offseason that will need to be replaced, but with Corey Dillon getting older and experiencing some injury problems in the last couple years, DeAngelo Williams falling to them will be too much to resist.
22) San Francisco 49ers - Manny Lawson, LB, N.C. State - The 49ers lost most of their LB crew from last year, and with the two big WRs gone they will look to grab a player that will be a nice LB and provide some pass rush for their last-ranked overall and passing defense.
23) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Eric Winston, OT, Miami FL - The Buccaneers have some aging players at several places on their defense, but they also need to beef up their OLine a bit and while many people don't consider Eric Winston worthy of a 1st round pick most of these teams realize he won't fall to them in the 2nd so the Buccaneers will pull the trigger on him here.
24) Cincinnati Bengals - Donte Whitner, S, Ohio St. - The Bengals need to fix up a few holes in their defense and could also look at TE, but Donte Whitner is the best value at this pick among positions of need for them, so he will be their pick.
25) New York Giants - Bobby Carpenter, LB, Ohio St. - Even with getting LaVar Arrington they still are a little shallow at LB and will be a little wary after all the injuries there last year. This is a bit of a surprising pick but building a LB core that would rotate LaVar Arrington, Bobby Carpenter, Carlos Emmons, Antonio Pierce, and a few others should turn that weakness into a strength.
26) Chicago Bears - Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia - If the Ricky Manning signing falls thru I think they look for Johnathan Joseph or Antonio Cromartie, but assuming that deal is completed without any problems I think they'll turn their attention to bringing in a pass-catching TE that will help their offense move the ball thru the air.
27) Carolina Panthers - LenDale White, RB, USC - Despite his lack of an impressive showing since the end of the season, I think DeShaun Foster's injury history is enough of a concern that they take what should be a very good power RB for them.
28) Jacksonville Jaguars - Antonio Cromartie, CB/S, Florida St. - The Jags secondary could use another player, and despite needing a RB and Laurence Maroney being on the board I think they look to Cromartie to help their defense out.
29) New York Jets - Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota - The Jets could be contemplating moving up for Reggie Bush to replace Curtis Martin, but with their two 1st round selections I think they will stay put, and with Maroney on the board at #29 I think they'll be glad they stayed and happily take Maroney as their future RB.
30) Indianapolis Colts - Joseph Addai, RB, LSU - The Colts were getting real excited with Maroney on the board so long, but the Jets will dash their hopes. While I don't think Addai is worth a 1st round pick, after coming so close to getting Maroney and with such a drop off from Addai to the next teir of RBs I think the recent rumors will come true and the Colts will take Addai, and they should end up being pleased with him as he is the ideal type of RB for their offense.
31) Seattle seahawks - Tamba Hali, DE, Penn St. - As good as their pass rush was last year, the Seahawks could use an addition at DE, and with the majority of the DEs being more suited for RDE I think they look for Hali who plays more like a LDE and shoudl be able to gain some weight/strength and be a nice addition for them.
32) Pittsburgh Steelers - Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami FL - The Steelers could definitely look at CB (mainly Johnathan Joseph), but with Joseph getting so close to us at #33 I will have the Steelers taking Sinorice Moss to fill Antwaan Randle El's role minus the ability to throw the ball on trick plays.

2nd Round
33) Houston Texans - Johnathan Joseph, CB, South Carolina - Probably my favorite CB in the draft, I think he's pretty likely to be gone by now but in my mock it worked out that he fell to us, so he's a great pickup for the Texans. If he's gone, as much as I don't really like it I think Marcus McNeill could be the pick.
34) New Orleans Saints - DeMeco Ryans, LB, Alabama - The Saints continue to rebuild their defense with a LB that is possibly a 1st round talent and would be a nice fit for their team.
35) New York Jets - Nick Mangold, C/G, Ohio St. - A consideration for them at #29 and they end up getting him at #35 anyways. Mangold is easily the best OC in the draft and after losing Mawae they'll be looking to secure his replacement.
36) Green Bay Packers - Davin Joseph, OG, Oklahoma - The Packers OLine needs some improvement, especially on the interior part of it, and Davin Joseph would be a great fit for them.
37) Denver Broncos - Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College - At one time I considered him a possibility at #22 to the Broncos, but he has fallen off some recently and the Broncos can grab him to boost their DLine here.
38) Oakland Raiders - Marcus McNeill, OT, Auburn - This is an interesting pick, but it allows the Raiders to either move Sims inside to OG or shop him around, then they can move Gallery to his intended position of LT and have two nice bookend OTs for them. I could definitely see them going defense here but McNeill seemed like a better value than the available defensive players.
39) Tennessee Titans - D'Qwell Jackson, LB, Maryland - The Titans are a little thin at LB, especially at MLB, and D'Qwell is probably the best option of a defensive player for them.
40) Detroit Lions - Thomas Howard, LB, UTEP - Teddy Lehman and Boss Bailey are nice LBs but they need a third solid LB, and with Marinelli as the new coach, Thomas Howard looks like the perfect type of LB for his system.
41) Arizona Cardinals - Charles Spencer, G/T, Pittsburgh - The Cardinals desperately need some OLine help, and Spencer is a huge yet athletic option that can play OG or OT and could possibly allow them to move Leonard Davis to RT where he is a better fit, and Davis/Spencer would be either a huge bookend OT combination or a huge RG/RT tandem to improve their OLine.
42) Buffalo Bills - Richard Marshall, CB, Fresno St. - Other than Nate Clements the Bills are really thin at CB, and Richard Marshall would be a good value here and a nice addition to their defense.
43) Cleveland Browns - Ashton Youboty, CB, Ohio St. - Crennel will continue to work on the defensive side of the ball and add a nice CB who has all the tools to be a very good NFL CB if he can develop a little more consistency in his game.
44) Baltimore Ravens - Taitsui Lutui, OG, USC - Lutui gives the Ravens another large and fairly athletic body on the OLine to help their offense move down the field.
45) Philadelphia Eagles - Greg Jennings, WR, Western Michigan - The Eagles hope to plug their biggest hole with a solid WR that has been quickly rising up boards lately.
46) St. Louis Rams - Marcedes Lewis, TE, UCLA - The Rams didn't use a TE much in Mike Martz's offense scheme so they don't have a very reliable option on the roster, and with Linehan's system coming in that has had the luxury of Randy McMichael they look to add a TE that is capable of catching the ball and blocking pretty well.
47) Atlanta Falcons - Darnell Bing, S, USC - The Falcons secondary needs an upgrade, and Darnell Bing provides them with a heavy hitter back there to team with and learn from Lawyer Milloy.
48) Minnesota Vikings - Max Jean-Gilles, OG, Georgia - After adding Steve Hutchinson in the offseason, bringing in the behemoth Jean-Gilles (and hopefully getting him to lose some weight to increase his mobility), the Vikings will create a strong OLine to power their offense.
49) Dallas Cowboys - Daniel Bullocks, S, Nebraska - The Cowboys need a S that can cover someone and let Roy Williams concentrate a little more on hitting people downfield or stacking the box, and Bullocks provides an athletic option for their secondary.
50) San Diego Chargers - Kelly Jennings, CB, Miami FL - The Chargers definitely need a boost in their secondary and will happily take Jennings, who many people have recently had climbing all the way into the 1st round.
51) Minnesota Vikings - Darryl Tapp, DE, Virginia Tech - The Vikings need a lot of help on their pass rush, and while Tapp isn't especially big or athletic he frequently finds a way to get to the opposing QB, including 2 sacks this season on the immortal D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
52) New England Patriots - Maurice Stovall, WR, Notre Dame - The Patriots lost David Givens and could use another WR, and Stovall provides Tom Brady with a similar big target with pretty good athleticism and nice hands.
53) Washington Redskins - John McCargo, DT, N.C. State - The Redskins need to shore up the middle of their defense, and John McCargo gives them an athletic option there.
54) Kansas City Chiefs - Demetrius Williams, WR, Oregon - The Chiefs need to add another receiving threat to their offense and Demetrius Williams provides them with a nice option there.
55) Cincinnati Bengals - Gabe Watson, DT, Michigan - The Bengals really need a DT and despite his inconsistency and questionable work ethic he's a pretty nice talent and worth a look here.
56) New York Giants - Johnathan Lewis, DT, Virginia Tech - The Giants need to boost their interior DLine, and Johnathan Lewis provides a big and pretty athletic option for them.
57) Chicago Bears - Derek Hagan, WR, Arizona St. - I'm not a real big fan of Hagan, but he is a pretty nice WR still and the Bears definitely need more targets for their passing game.
58) Carolina Panthers - Anthony Fasano, TE, Notre Dame - The Panthers badly need a receiving option to take some attention away from Steve Smith, and Fasano gives them a TE with nice hands that can also block pretty well for their running game.
59) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Danieal Manning, CB/S, Abilene Christian - The Buccaneers secondary is getting old, and Manning gives them a defensive back with the size to play S and the athleticism to play CB and would be a nice fit for their system.
60) Jacksonville Jaguars - Joe Klopfenstein, TE, Colorado - The Jaguards need a TE, and Klopfenstein gives them a tough TE that can catch the ball well and block pretty well too.
61) Denver Broncos - Ko Simpson, S, South Carolina - The Broncos could look to add an athletic S into their defensive secondary, and Ko Simpson would be a pretty nice option for them.
62) Indianapolis Colts - Dusty Dvoracek, DT, Oklahoma - The Colts lost Larry Triplett, and although he has some drak spots his past off the field, Dvoracek is a good athlete and a hard worker on the field and I think Dungy would like him in his defense.
63) Seattle Seahawks - Chris Chester, C/G, Oklahoma - After losing Hutchinson to the Vikings the Seahawks could use another interior OLineman, and Chester's stock has taken a big rise with his strong Combine and pro day performances and he would be a nice fit for their team.
64) Pittsburgh Steelers - Cedric Griffin, CB/S, Texas - The Steelers could use another physical presence in the secondary, and Griffin gives them a player that could play CB or FS for them.

65) Houston Texans - Roger McIntosh, LB, Miami FL - The Texans need some more talent at LB, and Roger McIntosh is a guy that could go in the early 2nd round but could end up falling due to other team needs, but if he can get past Carolina, Jacksonville, and Indianapolis the Texans will jump at the chance to take him.
66) Houston Texans - Daryn Colledge, OT, Boise St. - Colledge could also go in the mid 2nd round, but he's by no means a lock to go there and he would be a great fit in the zone blocking scheme the Texans are running.
67) Green Bay Packers - Devin Aromashodu, WR, Auburn - The Packers could use another receiving threat as Javon Walker recovers from his injury and pleads his case for a trade, and Aromashodu gives them a receiver with pretty nice size and athleticism.
68) Denver Broncos - Dominique Byrd, TE, USC - The Broncos lost Putzier and have yet to get a real good TE since Shannon Sharpe left, and Dominique Byrd would be an enticing option for them here.
69) Oakland Raiders - Pat Watkins, S, Florida St. - The Raiders secondary definitely needs some help, and Pat Watkins has a pretty nice combination of size and measurable athleticism, although he hasn't showed exceptional skill on the field he's the best DB available and Al Davis is never afraid to take some chances.
70) Buffalo Bills - Claude Wroten, DT, LSU - The Bills need to bolster their interior DLine, and while Wroten has a colorful past he also has a lot of talent and would be worth the risks here.
71) New York Jets - Kellen Clemens, QB, Oregon - The Jets do have some questions at QB, and despite not wanting to take a QB high in the draft they could definitely look for one right here.
72) Arizona Cardinals - Abdul Hodge, LB, Iowa - The Cardinals defense needs some help, and MLB is one of their weaker spots. Abdul Hodge gives them a solid option at MLB and would be a nice value here.
73) Buffalo Bills - Victor Adeyanju, DE, Indiana - The Bills had one of the worse pass rushes in the league last year, and Adeyanju gives them a solid larger option at DE.
74) Detroit Lions - Jonathan Scott, OT, Texas - The Lions need an OT, and Scott is a pretty good value here.
75) New England Patriots - DeMario Minter, CB, Georgia - The Patriots secondary needs some depth, and while resigning Ty Law would give them a nice option there for a year or two, drafting Minter would give them a young talent to learn under their veterans and be a nice option in the future.
76) Philadelphia Eagles - Rodrique Wright, DT, Texas - The Eagles could use more talent at DT, and Rodrique Wright is a pretty nice pick for them here.
77) St. Louis Rams - Brodie Croyle, QB, Alabama - The Rams have been looking for Bulger's eventual replacement, and Croyle should be a nice fit for their offense.
78) Cleveland Browns - Mark Anderson, LB/DE, Alabama - The Browns added Willie McGinest but he is getting old and could look for an athletic player to put at OLB as another pass rusher and the future heir to McGinest.
79) Atlanta Falcons - Gerris Wilkinson, LB, Georgia Tech - The Falcons have Ed Hartwell but he's coming off a big injury, and Gerris Wilkinson would be a nice pick to help solidify their LB crew.
80) Dallas Cowboys - Travis Wilson, WR, Oklahoma - The Cowboys could add another WR option even with the addition of Terrell Owens. Terry Glenn is getting old and Crayton started pretty strong early but had some injuries and faded later in the year, and Travis Wilson would be a nice fit as a slot WR for now and maybe even be a #2 a few years down the road.
81) San Diego Chargers - Andrew Whitworth, OT, LSU - The Chargers OLine has been depleted a little the last year or two, and Andrew Whitworth might not be ready to step in right away and be effective but he's a fairly athletic and big addition to their line.
82) Miami Dolphins - Hank Baskett, WR, New Mexico - The Dolphins should be looking for a WR on the 1st day, and after sending their 2nd round pick to the Vikings for Daunte Culpepper they will have to wait until the 3rd round for a WR, and Baskett gives them a pretty big and athletic option there.
83) Minnesota Vikings - Omar Jacobs, QB, Bowling Green - Brad Johnson is getting old and Omar Jacobs is a similar QB to Donovan McNabb and should be a pretty nice fit for Childress' offense.
84) San Francisco 49ers - Martin Nance, WR, Miami OH - The 49ers will continue to add weapons for Alex Smith to build the offense with, and Martin Nance gives them a big target at WR.
85) Kansas City Chiefs - Charlie Whitehurst, QB, Clemson - The Chiefs could use some depth along their OLine and could look for Jeremy Trueblood, but they're also in the market for Trent Green's future replacement and I think Whitehurst gives them a similar type of QB that could be groomed for a year or two until Green is ready to step aside.
86) New England Patriots - Greg Blue, S, Georgia - The Patriots could look for a future replacement for Rodney Harrison, and Greg Blue provides them with a similar player that likes to hit.
87) New York Giants - Mike Hass, WR, Oregon St. - The Giants could stand to add another receiving option for Eli Manning to go with Burress, Shockley, and the aging Amani Toomer, and Hass provides a nice set of reliable hands for their young QB.
88) Carolina Panthers - Jason Avant, WR, Michigan - Assuming the Ricky Manning signing goes thru without problems, the Panthers will get this pick from the Bears, and they will look to add another receiving option to take some pressure off of Steve Smith, and while Avant isn't particularly big or athletic he's a solid WR with reliable hands.
89) Carolina Panthers - Terna Nande, LB, Miami OH - The Panthers could use another LB and Nande gives them an athletic and very strong LB that should be a nice addition to their team.
90) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Ben Obomanu, WR, Auburn - The Buccaneers need more talent in their WR core, and while this is a little high for Obomanu he's probably the best option on the board for them.
91) Cincinnati Bengals - Tony Scheffler, TE, Western Michigan - The Bengals need a receiving threat at TE, and Scheffler provides them with a pretty big and athletic target with reliable hands.
92) Jacksonville Jaguars - Brian Calhoun, RB, Wisconsin - Jacksonville needs some depth at RB since Fred Taylor has trouble making thru a season without injury, and Calhoun is a nice option for them here.
93) Atlanta Falcons - Jerious Norwood, RB, Mississippi St. - The Falcons are not real happy with T.J. Duckett's progression, and after addressing some of their few needs earlier in the offseason Jerious Norwood would be a nice addition for their offense to go alongside Warrick Dunn and Michael Vick in their running game.
94) Indianapolis Colts - Jon Alston, LB, Stanford - After losing Thornton the Colts need to add another LB, and Alston is a great match for their scheme with his speed and ability to cover the field.
95) Minnesota Vikings - Roman Harper, S, Alabama - The Vikings could use another S and Roman Harper provides them with a pretty nice option to play alongside and learn from Darren Sharper.
96) Pittsburgh Steelers - Orien Harris, DE/DT, Miami FL - The Steelers could add some depth along their DLine, and Orien Harris provides a pick that definitely has the potential to be an impact for them.
97) New York Jets - Parys Haralson, LB/DE, Tennessee - The Jets need to bolster their LB core, and while this may be a little high for Parys Haralson he gives them a nice tweener at OLB that should be able to provide some decent pass rush and attempt to make up for the loss of John Abraham.

4th Round
98) Houston Texans - Ray Edwards - DE, Purdue - The Texans could use some depth at DE, and Edwards provides them with some decent size and athleticism although he has been quite inconsistent and has questionable work ethic, but he's a decent option at this point in the draft.

6th Round
170) Houston Texans - Marques Colston, WR, Hofstra - Colston provides a big and pretty athletic WR to groom for a couple years until Eric Moulds is ready to retire and adds depth for now.

66) Houston Texans - Daryn Colledge, OT, Boise St. - Colledge could also go in the mid 2nd round, but he's by no means a lock to go there and he would be a great fit in the zone blocking scheme the Texans are running.
69) Oakland Raiders - Pat Watkins, S, Florida St. - The Raiders secondary definitely needs some help, and Pat Watkins has a pretty nice combination of size and measurable athleticism, although he hasn't showed exceptional skill on the field he's the best DB available and Al Davis is never afraid to take some chance

Tuna has been aweful quite. I posted a while back that he may do something off the wall like this. If he was blowing smoke that'd mean the the pundits were zeroed in on his guy. The fact that he's been quite, means to me his guy was off everybodies radar.
Not going to repeat myself on College. A kiss for passing on Brick isn't going to help. The o-line sucked for four years. It's still going to suck untill they spend some siginficant day one capitol on o-linemen. Carr bashers will love it though. Sherman is a stinking Genuis. Yeah I know, I know.

Parcells spent three picks (two 1st rounders) in last years draft to shore up the DL, I feel he will shore up the db situation next (at least we agree its gonna be a defensive pick, I used to think they would look at a OT). I still like Donte Whitner as the best available fit when the Cowboys pick, Tye Hill should be gone as the 2nd or 3rd db taken (yes he is small but fearless) plays like a shutdown corner, excellent in run support too.

I totally agree with you on Watkins as a Marcus Coleman replacement clone, but thats still a good 3rd rd. value @ a need position. I think very higely of Roger McIntosh he should be a real pleasent surprise for whoever drafts him. Also agree that the Texans will take a OT somewhere in the top three rounds, this is one scenero I would not mind if the Texans traded the #1 overall pick to move down and take D'Brick, bank a 1st rounder for next draft and pick up another 2nd/3rd rd. pick.

p.s. know that MorKnolle loves Mario Williams, as your Mock suggests the Texans would have to take him #1 if they wanted him instead of Bush.

I don't see the Cowboys going DB in the 1st round, before signing Marcus Coleman I could have seen them take a FS (Jason Allen or Donte Whitner) but I think the addition of Coleman reduces that need just enough to look elsewhere. I think Parcells will look to build his LB core with another solid player, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see them end up with a DB there.

I don't like Pat Watkins, I had a hard time putting him that high in the 3rd but he was the best S left. He is pretty big and had nice measurables at the Combine but watching him some on tape both in games and just workout-type stuff he just doesn't look ready enough for me to spend a top 2 pick in the 3rd round, McIntosh and Colledge are much better picks IMO. I would look for Antoine Bethea in the 6th round if he's available, he was a little smaller but was very athletic and more of a real coverage guy, I don't see Watkins being able to cover anyone overly well right now, mainly just good for being a ballhawker in a deep zone. For that matter I don't see Roger McIntosh falling when the draft actually rolls around, but I really like him for our team and there were enough teams in there that could take him that addressed other needs in my mock so he ended up landing here.

Agreed on Watkins and Ray Edwards, we originally had Bethea there but I changed it last minute because I think that's high for him and he could fall to the 6th round, and while I'm not especially fond of Edwards (don't think the Texans are either) I think he's a little more solid of a pick and we need more depth at DE (I'd prefer Adeyanju if he's available), but he's one of those picks that I don't overly like in this mock and secretly hope doesn't happen. I would be willing to take a WR there too depending on who is available, maybe even Reggie McNeal if he's willing to give WR a try.

I can see the Whitner pick happening, although I think #18 is a tad high for him, plus they get Daniel Bullocks in the 2nd round anyways and I think they will feel better about delaying grabbing a DB another round than delaying grabbing a solid 3-4 LB since there are so many capable DBs available thru the first three rounds. I agree on Mario, I don't trust trading down to #4 because I think the Saints will take him at #2, as I've said before I don't see them trading down to #4 until that pick comes around and Mario is available, which would require us drafting Bush at #1 anyways then trading his rights off. Depending on how contract negotiations go the next couple days, I still honestly think Mario is a very viable option for the #1 pick, which would shake up the top of the draft a little but create very few ripples later in the draft from what I have in my mock. It would open us up to taking Maurice Drew, Jerious Norwood, Brian Calhoun, or some other faster RB in the later rounds rather than looking for a DE later.

I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't real fond of sending McNeill to the Raiders but I think he was a better player than anyone available at positions of need for you guys so that's how that pick came out, although I would be a little surprised if it actually happened that way.

I really like how these teams ended up in this mock:
Arizona - Get a nice QB to guide their offense when Warner hangs it up, they get a nice OLineman that could play RT, RG, LG, or maybe even LT, and they get a solid MLB.
Buffalo - They get a very good OT which was a big need, a good CB that was another big need, and then solidify their DLine.
Carolina - They get a very good RB which was needed, they get a solid TE and WR to help take pressure off of Steve Smith, and they add a LB that is a nice athlete and has the potential to be a good addition to their defense.
Cincinnati - They address their top three needs in S, TE, and DT with pretty solid guys.
Denver - Mike Shanahan's genius strikes again, they get an apparent big-time WR, a nice DE, and a solid S and TE.
Detroit - Huff will be very good for their defense, Thomas Howard is the perfect type of LB for their new system (presumably bringing in the Tampa cover 2 type defense that needs athletic, rangy LBs), and get a decent OT.
Houston - The only thing that could possibly make this draft better for us IMO would be taking Mario at #1 then Maurice Drew or another comparable RB in the 4th.
New England - They get a great RB fairly late in the 1st round, they get a solid WR, and they get two players to boost their defensive backfield.
New York Jets - Perhaps the best draft of any team, they get a very good OT, they get a great RB late in the 1st, they get the best interior OLineman in the draft to replace a perennial Pro-Bowler, and they get a potential future QB and a solid OLB for their 3-4 defense.

The Jets and our picks are the most solid in the first two rounds, while the Broncos and our picks are the most solid top to bottom for the 1st day.

Rock, actually Dqwell or Abdul Hodge fit quite well in your system. Acquiring D'Qwell will allow Kirk Morrison to move to weakside, moving Danny Clark to strongside giving you a god LB crew against the run, which was your main problem. Now the addition of a big DT next to Warren Sapp will also greatly improve that situation. I say we switch those picks, eventhough I could see crazy Al who if I am ever an owner want to be similar to, taking Howard because he can run.

OK, I've had a chance to look at it a little more and here is the mock with a few changes:

1st Round
1) Houston Texans - Reggie Bush, RB, USC - I still prefer Mario Williams and think he would make a bigger impact on the team, but I think enough people in the Texans FO prefer Bush and he will be their pick.
2) New Orleans Saints - Mario Williams, DE, N.C. State - Mario is simply the BPA here, and the Saints could definitely use an improved pass rush and have said they could move Charles Grant inside to DT, so if they stay at #2 Mario is their pick.
3) Tennessee Titans - Matt Leinart, QB, USC - Steve McNair looks like he's on his way out and they will need a new QB to be ready as soon as possible. Leinart is the most ready QB, he played for Norm Chow for 2 years (was at USC with him for 4 years), and he won a national championship and Heisman trophy in his system, so I think he is the 1st QB off the board and will go to Tennessee barring a trade up from another team.
4) New York Jets - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia - It sounds like they don't want to take a QB this high in the draft as they consider it too risky and they just gave Pennington a large contract, so they take arguably the BPA and the best OLineman available to help protect their seemingly fragile QB.
5) Green Bay Packers - A.J. Hawk, LB, Ohio St. - The Packers need a lot of help in a lot of places, and I don't think they're in a great position to trade up or down so they will stay here and take the 2nd best defensive player in the draft.
6) San Francisco 49ers - Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland - The 49ers need to surround Alex Smith with some offensive weapons to help in his development and to improve the NFL's worst offense from last year, and Davis is the best option for their offense.
7) Oakland Raiders - Vince Young, QB, Texas - I think Arizona would be the best place for Vince Young to be and I think that Jay Cutler would fit better with the receiving group that the Raiders have, but I think Vince is the better QB and Al Davis needs to generate some kind of attention for his team.
8) Buffalo Bills - Winston Justice, OT, USC - The Bills need help at DT, and OLine, and while Ngata/Bunkley have been my pick for them for a long time I think Winston Justice has raised his stock enough and OT is more valuable than a DT, so I think he will be their pick.
9) Detroit Lions - Michael Huff, CB/S, Texas - The Lions need help everywhere on defense other than at DT while their offense is pretty solid, and Huff is definitely the best available defensive player for their team.
10) Arizona Cardinals - Jay Cutler, QB, Vanderbilt - Kurt Warner has one, maybe two years left in him, and after losing Josh McCown and with a group of young talented WRs Cutler would be a great pick to build their offense around for the coming years. If Winston Justice is available I could see them taking him over Cutler, but if Justice is gone then I definitely think Cutler is their guy.
11) St. Louis Rams - Jimmy Williams, CB/S, Virginia Tech - The Rams secondary needs some help and Jimmy Williams has the size to play FS and showed he still had the speed to play CB, and he is the best option for their team here.
12) Cleveland Browns - Brodrick Bunkley, DE/DT, Florida St. - The Browns have spent a lot of money helping their offense so far this offseason and need to address their defense, and I think Crennel will love to add Bunkley as he can play either NT or DE for their 3-4 system, similar to a stronger, probably more athletic version of Richard Seymour that Crennel enjoyed in New Englad.
13) Baltimore Ravens - Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon - The Ravens were really hoping that Justice or Bunkley would fall to them, but with both of them gone they'll happily take the biggest hole plugger in the draft to occupy blockers up front and help free up Ray Lewis to become the terror he used to be.
14) Philadelphia Eagles - Ernie Sims, LB, Florida St. - Taking a WR will definitely be tempting, but Ernie Sims is just the type of LB that the Eagles like in their system as he can range sideline to sideline and get back in coverage as well, so in a bit of a surprise to some people I think the Eagles will take him with their 1st pick.
15) Denver Broncos - Chad Jackson, WR, Florida - This is an easy pick. Rod Smith is nearing the end of his career, Ashley Lelie hasn't been what they hoped and sounds like he is wanting to leave the Mile High City, so the pick comes down to Chad Jackson vs. Santonio Holmes. While Santonio Holmes is the better overall WR right now, Mike Shanahan traditionally likes larger WRs and is never one to go with conventional wisdom, so I see them taking Jackson here.
16) Miami Dolphins - Jason Allen, CB/S, Tennessee - The Dolphins have some serious holes in their secondary, and Jason Allen can play either CB or S for them, plus Nick Saban has a lot of ties to the SEC and seems to like getting players from that conference, so Allen is their pick.
17) Minnesota Vikings - Chad Greenway, LB, Iowa - The Vikings still need to find a better combination of defensive players, and Chad Greenway is a great value here and fills a definite need for them.
18) Dallas Cowboys - Kamerion Wimbley, LB, Florida St. - The Cowboys need a S, but Kamerion Wimbley opposite of DeMarcus Ware would be a great combination at OLB.
19) San Diego Chargers - Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio St. - This is another easy pick, as the Chargers definitely need another WR threat and Santonio Holmes should fall right into their laps here. I expect they will be on stage with their selection card as soon as Tagliabue is finished announcing the Cowboys selection.
20) Kansas City Chiefs - Tye Hill, CB, Clemson - The Chiefs need to shore up their pass defense, and Tye Hill is arguably the best pure CB in this draft and will be their choice among several good CBs available.
21) New England Patriots - DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis - The Patriots lost some players this offseason that will need to be replaced, but with Corey Dillon getting older and experiencing some injury problems in the last couple years, DeAngelo Williams falling to them will be too much to resist.
22) San Francisco 49ers - Manny Lawson, LB, N.C. State - The 49ers lost most of their LB crew from last year, and with the two big WRs gone they will look to grab a player that will be a nice LB and provide some pass rush for their last-ranked overall and passing defense.
23) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Eric Winston, OT, Miami FL - The Buccaneers have some aging players at several places on their defense, but they also need to beef up their OLine a bit and while many people don't consider Eric Winston worthy of a 1st round pick most of these teams realize he won't fall to them in the 2nd so the Buccaneers will pull the trigger on him here.
24) Cincinnati Bengals - Donte Whitner, S, Ohio St. - The Bengals need to fix up a few holes in their defense and could also look at TE, but Donte Whitner is the best value at this pick among positions of need for them, so he will be their pick.
25) New York Giants - Antonio Cromartie, CB/S, Florida St. - The Giants just brought in LaVar Arrington for a lot of money, and while they could use some more depth at LB their secondary takes higher priority.
26) Chicago Bears - Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia - If the Ricky Manning signing falls thru I think they look for Johnathan Joseph or Antonio Cromartie, but assuming that deal is completed without any problems I think they'll turn their attention to bringing in a pass-catching TE that will help their offense move the ball thru the air.
27) Carolina Panthers - LenDale White, RB, USC - Despite his lack of an impressive showing since the end of the season, I think DeShaun Foster's injury history is enough of a concern that they take what should be a very good power RB for them.
28) Jacksonville Jaguars - Bobby Carpenter, LB, Ohio St. - Maroney will receive some strong consideration as Fred Taylor is getting older and has had numerous seasons with injury problems, but Carpenter is a very solid LB that fills another big need for them.
29) New York Jets - Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota - The Jets could be contemplating moving up for Reggie Bush to replace Curtis Martin, but with their two 1st round selections I think they will stay put, and with Maroney on the board at #29 I think they'll be glad they stayed and happily take Maroney as their future RB.
30) Indianapolis Colts - Joseph Addai, RB, LSU - The Colts were getting real excited with Maroney on the board so long, but the Jets will dash their hopes. While I don't think Addai is worth a 1st round pick, after coming so close to getting Maroney and with such a drop off from Addai to the next teir of RBs I think the recent rumors will come true and the Colts will take Addai, and they should end up being pleased with him as he is the ideal type of RB for their offense.
31) Seattle seahawks - Tamba Hali, DE, Penn St. - As good as their pass rush was last year, the Seahawks could use an addition at DE, and with the majority of the DEs being more suited for RDE I think they look for Hali who plays more like a LDE and shoudl be able to gain some weight/strength and be a nice addition for them.
32) Pittsburgh Steelers - Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami FL - The Steelers could definitely look at CB (mainly Johnathan Joseph), but with Joseph getting so close to us at #33 I will have the Steelers taking Sinorice Moss to fill Antwaan Randle El's role minus the ability to throw the ball on trick plays.

2nd Round
33) Houston Texans - Johnathan Joseph, CB, South Carolina - Probably my favorite CB in the draft, I think he's pretty likely to be gone by now but in my mock it worked out that he fell to us, so he's a great pickup for the Texans. If he's gone, as much as I don't really like it I think Marcus McNeill could be the pick.
34) New Orleans Saints - DeMeco Ryans, LB, Alabama - The Saints continue to rebuild their defense with a LB that is possibly a 1st round talent and would be a nice fit for their team.
35) New York Jets - Nick Mangold, C/G, Ohio St. - A consideration for them at #29 and they end up getting him at #35 anyways. Mangold is easily the best OC in the draft and after losing Mawae they'll be looking to secure his replacement.
36) Green Bay Packers - Davin Joseph, OG, Oklahoma - The Packers OLine needs some improvement, especially on the interior part of it, and Davin Joseph would be a great fit for them.
37) Denver Broncos - Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College - At one time I considered him a possibility at #22 to the Broncos, but he has fallen off some recently and the Broncos can grab him to boost their DLine here.
38) Oakland Raiders - Thomas Howard, LB, UTEP - The Raiders need more talent at LB, and Howard gives them a nice athletic option there and is a good value here.
39) Tennessee Titans - D'Qwell Jackson, LB, Maryland - The Titans are a little thin at LB, especially at MLB, and D'Qwell is probably the best option of a defensive player for them.
40) Detroit Lions - Gabe Watson, DT, Michigan - The Lions need a DT and despite his inconsistency and questionable work ethic he's a pretty nice talent and is probably worth a look here.
41) Arizona Cardinals - Marcus McNeill, OT, Auburn - The Cardinals desperately need some OLine help, and McNeill gives them a nice OT, although he is one that may not be a great fit at LT, but it gives them another large stud to compete with Leonard Davis for their two OT spots.
42) Buffalo Bills - Richard Marshall, CB, Fresno St. - Other than Nate Clements the Bills are really thin at CB, and Richard Marshall would be a good value here and a nice addition to their defense.
43) Cleveland Browns - Ashton Youboty, CB, Ohio St. - Crennel will continue to work on the defensive side of the ball and add a nice CB who has all the tools to be a very good NFL CB if he can develop a little more consistency in his game.
44) Baltimore Ravens - Taitsui Lutui, OG, USC - Lutui gives the Ravens another large and fairly athletic body on the OLine to help their offense move down the field.
45) Philadelphia Eagles - Greg Jennings, WR, Western Michigan - The Eagles hope to plug their biggest hole with a solid WR that has been quickly rising up boards lately.
46) St. Louis Rams - Marcedes Lewis, TE, UCLA - The Rams didn't use a TE much in Mike Martz's offense scheme so they don't have a very reliable option on the roster, and with Linehan's system coming in that has had the luxury of Randy McMichael they look to add a TE that is capable of catching the ball and blocking pretty well.
47) Atlanta Falcons - Darnell Bing, S, USC - The Falcons secondary needs an upgrade, and Darnell Bing provides them with a heavy hitter back there to team with and learn from Lawyer Milloy.
48) Minnesota Vikings - Max Jean-Gilles, OG, Georgia - After adding Steve Hutchinson in the offseason, bringing in the behemoth Jean-Gilles (and hopefully getting him to lose some weight to increase his mobility), the Vikings will create a strong OLine to power their offense.
49) Dallas Cowboys - Daniel Bullocks, S, Nebraska - The Cowboys need a S that can cover someone and let Roy Williams concentrate a little more on hitting people downfield or stacking the box, and Bullocks provides an athletic option for their secondary.
50) San Diego Chargers - Charles Spencer, G/T, Pittsburgh - The Chargers need to add talent to their OLine, and Spencer gives them a monster in there that can play either OG or OT for them.
51) Minnesota Vikings - Darryl Tapp, DE, Virginia Tech - The Vikings need a lot of help on their pass rush, and while Tapp isn't especially big or athletic he frequently finds a way to get to the opposing QB, including 2 sacks this season on the immortal D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
52) New England Patriots - Maurice Stovall, WR, Notre Dame - The Patriots lost David Givens and could use another WR, and Stovall provides Tom Brady with a similar big target with pretty good athleticism and nice hands.
53) Washington Redskins - Kelly Jennings, CB, Miami FL - The Redskins need more depth at CB, and Jennings is a pretty nice option that has recently climbed into the 1st round in some mocks, and it gives him the chance to primarily be a NB for a year while he adjusts to the NFL.
54) Kansas City Chiefs - Demetrius Williams, WR, Oregon - The Chiefs need to add another receiving threat to their offense and Demetrius Williams provides them with a nice option there.
55) Cincinnati Bengals - John McCargo, DT, N.C. State - The Bengals need to shore up the middle of their defense, and John McCargo gives them an athletic option there that will provide both pass rush and a decent run stopper.
56) New York Giants - Johnathan Lewis, DT, Virginia Tech - The Giants need to boost their interior DLine, and Johnathan Lewis provides a big and pretty athletic option for them.
57) Chicago Bears - Derek Hagan, WR, Arizona St. - I'm not a real big fan of Hagan, but he is a pretty nice WR still and the Bears definitely need more targets for their passing game.
58) Carolina Panthers - Anthony Fasano, TE, Notre Dame - The Panthers badly need a receiving option to take some attention away from Steve Smith, and Fasano gives them a TE with nice hands that can also block pretty well for their running game.
59) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Danieal Manning, CB/S, Abilene Christian - The Buccaneers secondary is getting old, and Manning gives them a defensive back with the size to play S and the athleticism to play CB and would be a nice fit for their system.
60) Jacksonville Jaguars - Joe Klopfenstein, TE, Colorado - The Jaguards need a TE, and Klopfenstein gives them a tough TE that can catch the ball well and block pretty well too.
61) Denver Broncos - Ko Simpson, S, South Carolina - The Broncos could look to add an athletic S into their defensive secondary, and Ko Simpson would be a pretty nice option for them.
62) Indianapolis Colts - Dusty Dvoracek, DT, Oklahoma - The Colts lost Larry Triplett, and although he has some drak spots his past off the field, Dvoracek is a good athlete and a hard worker on the field and I think Dungy would like him in his defense.
63) Seattle Seahawks - Chris Chester, C/G, Oklahoma - After losing Hutchinson to the Vikings the Seahawks could use another interior OLineman, and Chester's stock has taken a big rise with his strong Combine and pro day performances and he would be a nice fit for their team.
64) Pittsburgh Steelers - Cedric Griffin, CB/S, Texas - The Steelers could use another physical presence in the secondary, and Griffin gives them a player that could play CB or FS for them.

3rd Round
65) Houston Texans - Roger McIntosh, LB, Miami FL - The Texans need some more talent at LB, and Roger McIntosh is a guy that could go in the early 2nd round but could end up falling due to other team needs, but if he can get past Carolina, Jacksonville, and Indianapolis the Texans will jump at the chance to take him.
66) Houston Texans - Daryn Colledge, OT, Boise St. - Colledge could also go in the mid 2nd round, but he's by no means a lock to go there and he would be a great fit in the zone blocking scheme the Texans are running.
67) Green Bay Packers - Devin Aromashodu, WR, Auburn - The Packers could use another receiving threat as Javon Walker recovers from his injury and pleads his case for a trade, and Aromashodu gives them a receiver with pretty nice size and athleticism.
68) Denver Broncos - Dominique Byrd, TE, USC - The Broncos lost Putzier and have yet to get a real good TE since Shannon Sharpe left, and Dominique Byrd would be an enticing option for them here.
69) Oakland Raiders - Pat Watkins, S, Florida St. - The Raiders secondary definitely needs some help, and Pat Watkins has a pretty nice combination of size and measurable athleticism, although he hasn't showed exceptional skill on the field he's the best DB available and Al Davis is never afraid to take some chances.
70) Buffalo Bills - Claude Wroten, DT, LSU - The Bills need to bolster their interior DLine, and while Wroten has a colorful past he also has a lot of talent and would be worth the risks here.
71) New York Jets - Kellen Clemens, QB, Oregon - The Jets do have some questions at QB, and despite not wanting to take a QB high in the draft they could definitely look for one right here.
72) Arizona Cardinals - Abdul Hodge, LB, Iowa - The Cardinals defense needs some help, and MLB is one of their weaker spots. Abdul Hodge gives them a solid option at MLB and would be a nice value here.
73) Buffalo Bills - Victor Adeyanju, DE, Indiana - The Bills had one of the worse pass rushes in the league last year, and Adeyanju gives them a solid larger option at DE.
74) Detroit Lions - Jon Alston, LB, Stanford - Teddy Lehman and Boss Bailey are nice LBs but they need a third solid LB, and with Marinelli as the new coach, Jon Alston looks like the perfect type of LB for his system.
75) New England Patriots - DeMario Minter, CB, Georgia - The Patriots secondary needs some depth, and while resigning Ty Law would give them a nice option there for a year or two, drafting Minter would give them a young talent to learn under their veterans and be a nice option in the future.
76) Philadelphia Eagles - Rodrique Wright, DT, Texas - The Eagles could use more talent at DT, and Rodrique Wright is a pretty nice pick for them here.
77) St. Louis Rams - Brodie Croyle, QB, Alabama - The Rams have been looking for Bulger's eventual replacement, and Croyle should be a nice fit for their offense.
78) Cleveland Browns - Mark Anderson, LB/DE, Alabama - The Browns added Willie McGinest but he is getting old and could look for an athletic player to put at OLB as another pass rusher and the future heir to McGinest.
79) Atlanta Falcons - Gerris Wilkinson, LB, Georgia Tech - The Falcons have Ed Hartwell but he's coming off a big injury, and Gerris Wilkinson would be a nice pick to help solidify their LB crew.
80) Dallas Cowboys - Travis Wilson, WR, Oklahoma - The Cowboys could add another WR option even with the addition of Terrell Owens. Terry Glenn is getting old and Crayton started pretty strong early but had some injuries and faded later in the year, and Travis Wilson would be a nice fit as a slot WR for now and maybe even be a #2 a few years down the road.
81) San Diego Chargers -
82) Miami Dolphins - Hank Baskett, WR, New Mexico - The Dolphins should be looking for a WR on the 1st day, and after sending their 2nd round pick to the Vikings for Daunte Culpepper they will have to wait until the 3rd round for a WR, and Baskett gives them a pretty big and athletic option there.
83) Minnesota Vikings - Omar Jacobs, QB, Bowling Green - Brad Johnson is getting old and Omar Jacobs is a similar QB to Donovan McNabb and should be a pretty nice fit for Childress' offense.
84) San Francisco 49ers - Martin Nance, WR, Miami OH - The 49ers will continue to add weapons for Alex Smith to build the offense with, and Martin Nance gives them a big target at WR.
85) Kansas City Chiefs - Charlie Whitehurst, QB, Clemson - The Chiefs could use some depth along their OLine and could look for Jeremy Trueblood, but they're also in the market for Trent Green's future replacement and I think Whitehurst gives them a similar type of QB that could be groomed for a year or two until Green is ready to step aside.
86) New England Patriots - Greg Blue, S, Georgia - The Patriots could look for a future replacement for Rodney Harrison, and Greg Blue provides them with a similar player that likes to hit.
87) New York Giants - Mike Hass, WR, Oregon St. - The Giants could stand to add another receiving option for Eli Manning to go with Burress, Shockley, and the aging Amani Toomer, and Hass provides a nice set of reliable hands for their young QB.
88) Carolina Panthers - Jason Avant, WR, Michigan - Assuming the Ricky Manning signing goes thru without problems, the Panthers will get this pick from the Bears, and they will look to add another receiving option to take some pressure off of Steve Smith, and while Avant isn't particularly big or athletic he's a solid WR with reliable hands.
89) Carolina Panthers - Terna Nande, LB, Miami OH - The Panthers could use another LB and Nande gives them an athletic and very strong LB that should be a nice addition to their team.
90) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Ben Obomanu, WR, Auburn - The Buccaneers need more talent in their WR core, and while this is a little high for Obomanu he's probably the best option on the board for them.
91) Cincinnati Bengals - Tony Scheffler, TE, Western Michigan - The Bengals need a receiving threat at TE, and Scheffler provides them with a pretty big and athletic target with reliable hands.
92) Jacksonville Jaguars - Brian Calhoun, RB, Wisconsin - Jacksonville needs some depth at RB since Fred Taylor has trouble making thru a season without injury, and Calhoun is a nice option for them here.
93) Atlanta Falcons - Jerious Norwood, RB, Mississippi St. - The Falcons are not real happy with T.J. Duckett's progression, and after addressing some of their few needs earlier in the offseason Jerious Norwood would be a nice addition for their offense to go alongside Warrick Dunn and Michael Vick in their running game.
94) Indianapolis Colts - Clint Ingram, LB, Oklahoma - The Colts lost Thornton in the offseason and need LB depth. Ingram isn't the best fit for their system but he's athletic enough that he can get by.
95) Minnesota Vikings - Jonathan Scott, OT, Texas - Not a huge need for the Vikings but Scott is a good value here.
96) Pittsburgh Steelers - Orien Harris, DE/DT, Miami FL - The Steelers could add some depth along their DLine, and Orien Harris provides a pick that definitely has the potential to be an impact for them.
97) New York Jets - Parys Haralson, LB/DE, Tennessee - The Jets need to bolster their LB core, and while this may be a little high for Parys Haralson he gives them a nice tweener at OLB that should be able to provide some decent pass rush and attempt to make up for the loss of John Abraham.

98) Houston Texans - Antoine Bethea, S, Howard - This is a little high for Bethea but he could be gone by the 6th and the Texans are in need of an athletic FS and Bethea definitely fills that role.

I think Mario is becoming a more likely pick at #1 than he was a couple days ago, so here's a look at the mock with us taking Mario at #1, and once again assuming no trades, although I think if we take Mario at #1 it will be much more likely that we see some shuffling in the next few picks:

1st Round
1) Houston Texans - Mario Williams, DE, N.C. State - Mario is arguably the BPA, and the Texans need defensive help more than offensive help, and I think Mario will impact the defense more than Bush will do to the offense.
2) New Orleans Saints - Reggie Bush, RB, USC - This is where the draft becomes interesting, I think the Saints would take Bush here or more likely trade down, but even with McAllister on the roster I don't see them passing on Bush for D'Brickashaw.
3) Tennessee Titans - Matt Leinart, QB, USC - Steve McNair looks like he's on his way out and they will need a new QB to be ready as soon as possible. Leinart is the most ready QB, he played for Norm Chow for 2 years (was at USC with him for 4 years), and he won a national championship and Heisman trophy in his system, so I think he is the 1st QB off the board and will go to Tennessee barring a trade up from another team.
4) New York Jets - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia - If Bush gets to #2 I definitely see them looking to trade up to #2 and take him there and let the Saints get Hawk here, but as I said before I don't see the Saints passing on Bush for D'Brick so he still is available here.
5) Green Bay Packers - A.J. Hawk, LB, Ohio St. - The Packers need a lot of help in a lot of places, and I don't think they're in a great position to trade up or down so they will stay here and take the 2nd best defensive player in the draft.
6) San Francisco 49ers - Vernon Davis, TE, Maryland - The 49ers need to surround Alex Smith with some offensive weapons to help in his development and to improve the NFL's worst offense from last year, and Davis is the best option for their offense.
7) Oakland Raiders - Vince Young, QB, Texas - I think Arizona would be the best place for Vince Young to be and I think that Jay Cutler would fit better with the receiving group that the Raiders have, but I think Vince is the better QB and Al Davis needs to generate some kind of attention for his team.

16) Miami Dolphins - Jason Allen, CB/S, Tennessee - The Dolphins have some serious holes in their secondary, and Jason Allen can play either CB or S for them, plus Nick Saban has a lot of ties to the SEC and seems to like getting players from that conference, so Allen is their pick.
17) Minnesota Vikings - Chad Greenway, LB, Iowa - The Vikings still need to find a better combination of defensive players, and Chad Greenway is a great value here and fills a definite need for them.
18) Dallas Cowboys - Kamerion Wimbley, LB, Florida St. - The Cowboys need a S, but Kamerion Wimbley opposite of DeMarcus Ware would be a great combination at OLB.
19) San Diego Chargers - Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio St. - This is another easy pick, as the Chargers definitely need another WR threat and Santonio Holmes should fall right into their laps here. I expect they will be on stage with their selection card as soon as Tagliabue is finished announcing the Cowboys selection.
20) Kansas City Chiefs - Tye Hill, CB, Clemson - The Chiefs need to shore up their pass defense, and Tye Hill is arguably the best pure CB in this draft and will be their choice among several good CBs available.
21) New England Patriots - DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis - The Patriots lost some players this offseason that will need to be replaced, but with Corey Dillon getting older and experiencing some injury problems in the last couple years, DeAngelo Williams falling to them will be too much to resist.
22) San Francisco 49ers - Manny Lawson, LB, N.C. State - The 49ers lost most of their LB crew from last year, and with the two big WRs gone they will look to grab a player that will be a nice LB and provide some pass rush for their last-ranked overall and passing defense.
23) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Eric Winston, OT, Miami FL - The Buccaneers have some aging players at several places on their defense, but they also need to beef up their OLine a bit and while many people don't consider Eric Winston worthy of a 1st round pick most of these teams realize he won't fall to them in the 2nd so the Buccaneers will pull the trigger on him here.
24) Cincinnati Bengals - Donte Whitner, S, Ohio St. - The Bengals need to fix up a few holes in their defense and could also look at TE, but Donte Whitner is the best value at this pick among positions of need for them, so he will be their pick.
25) New York Giants - Antonio Cromartie, CB/S, Florida St. - The Giants just brought in LaVar Arrington for a lot of money, and while they could use some more depth at LB their secondary takes higher priority.
26) Chicago Bears - Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia - If the Ricky Manning signing falls thru I think they look for Johnathan Joseph or Antonio Cromartie, but assuming that deal is completed without any problems I think they'll turn their attention to bringing in a pass-catching TE that will help their offense move the ball thru the air.
27) Carolina Panthers - LenDale White, RB, USC - Despite his lack of an impressive showing since the end of the season, I think DeShaun Foster's injury history is enough of a concern that they take what should be a very good power RB for them.
28) Jacksonville Jaguars - Bobby Carpenter, LB, Ohio St. - Maroney will receive some strong consideration as Fred Taylor is getting older and has had numerous seasons with injury problems, but Carpenter is a very solid LB that fills another big need for them.
29) New York Jets - Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota - The Jets could be contemplating moving up for Reggie Bush to replace Curtis Martin, but with their two 1st round selections I think they will stay put, and with Maroney on the board at #29 I think they'll be glad they stayed and happily take Maroney as their future RB.
30) Indianapolis Colts - Joseph Addai, RB, LSU - The Colts were getting real excited with Maroney on the board so long, but the Jets will dash their hopes. While I don't think Addai is worth a 1st round pick, after coming so close to getting Maroney and with such a drop off from Addai to the next teir of RBs I think the recent rumors will come true and the Colts will take Addai, and they should end up being pleased with him as he is the ideal type of RB for their offense.
31) Seattle seahawks - Tamba Hali, DE, Penn St. - As good as their pass rush was last year, the Seahawks could use an addition at DE, and with the majority of the DEs being more suited for RDE I think they look for Hali who plays more like a LDE and shoudl be able to gain some weight/strength and be a nice addition for them.
32) Pittsburgh Steelers - Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami FL - The Steelers could definitely look at CB (mainly Johnathan Joseph), but with Joseph getting so close to us at #33 I will have the Steelers taking Sinorice Moss to fill Antwaan Randle El's role minus the ability to throw the ball on trick plays.

Beyond the 1st round, switching Bush and Mario doesn't impact any picks, at least for the next two rounds, but if some trading goes on in there then it could definitely impact what happens later.

I had done a 1-round one like that before but I didn't want to take all the extra time to do one of those this time, it was already pretty late when I was typing it up and adding options for 98 picks would have taken a ton more time than I was wanting to spend on it. I admit a few of the picks slipped a little farther than I think they will (McIntosh for sure, possibly Colledge and Joseph), but they legitimately got within a couple picks and from there I kind of made sure they slipped the last few, I'll likely be doing a new mock within the next day with a little more objective look at all the teams.
