Mizzou vs. OKST: Last INT should have been incompletion

Blake

MMQB
Just wanted to know if anyone has heard anyone talk about the missed call.

Chase Daniels and the Tigers had to work down the field to win the game and Chase threw what appeared to be an INT. But when watching it in slo-mo you can see the ball hit the ground basically making it a trap and not an INT, but the officials miss that even with instant replay and #3 goes down.

Did anyone else see that? Just goes to show you that even with instant replay the ref's wont always get it right.

They showed all of the camera angles and there wasn't a clear shot that was going to overturn the call on the field......it's just the way it is. The best shot they had, Daniels ended up getting in the way of the play.

I am pretty sure the ref's have all the same camera angles that we see at home, and there is one that shows the ball hitting the ground. That shot was more than conclusive. The refs just didnt see it.

You are making things up. There wasn't a single angle that showed the play anywhere close enough to overturn it. Quit making excuses for a team that got punched in the jaw. Not only was it a clean interception, but there wasn't a single angle that showed the ball hitting the ground (trap).

The fact that you think I would lie about this is interesting. Why would I? I dont care for Mizzou, just stating a fact and wanted to know if it was being talked about.

I 100% guarantee that if someone has it recorded they will see the ball hits the ground from the angle where the camera is to the left of the WR/CB and they are to the right. I replayed it for my fiance who was watching the game with me and it is plain as day if you are looking for it.

But if you want to just assume it was a clean INT then have at it.

I saw that.....Oh well

Agreed, oh well. Just thought that since it had national title implications that it would have been talked about. I Missouri would have been #1,2,or 3 if they could have pulled out the W. But they never had the chance after the blown call.

Well there is ways next week.

It will be interesting.

Kansas At Oklahoma
Missouri At Texas

It will be a good College football Weekend

I never saw the ball hit the ground.....I never even saw a angle good enough to show the ball hit the ground, all I saw was inconclusive evidence.

Very good point, had this been the Red River Shootout then this would be HUGE!!!

I think Oklahoma is going to come out pissed. Not good for KU. I think Texas may get caught up in the hype and fall to Mizzu, also not good for KU. If Texas can beat Mizzu, and KU can somehow beat UT at home, then KU would have a strangle-hold on the Big 12 North.

mizzou blew it at home but can get back into it at austin, no sense in crying over spilled milk

I have to agree here , Mizzou lost at home .... If you dont want the Refs to be involved in the outcome .... play good enough that one call (I think it was an INT) doesnt affect the final outcome.

No mention of the blown call on any web sites or sports shows? No outrage on the Mizzou message boards? No youtube video?

Looked like an INT to me and I can't believe there wouldn't be video posted all over the place if there were clear evidence to the contrary.

Quoted for Truth.

Listen guys, if there was any credibility to the nonsense some poster is trying to start, we would be seeing it all over ESPN. Mizzu fans are the most obnoxious fans this side of cubs fans; we would have heard from them too by now. Even a Mizzu fan can figure out a VCR every once in a while (don't quote me on that though). Do you really think that ESPN would let a top 3 team with 2 potential Heisman canidates including the QB who was by all accounts the leader go without any form of justice. Be honest, and then think about who and what you listen to next time.

I know what I saw and even showed someone the evidence. Thats all I will say on it.

You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide you lyin' eyes

Oh yeah I remember seeing the replay about this on Sportscenter or some such show...Monday, I think it was. I think they had to zoom in to really get a good look at it, but you could see the ball basically laying on the ground.

The camera angle, IIRC, was from behind as the OSU guy was falling on his left side.

Oh well. Too bad for Mizzou, I guess. This could, of course, have been a different play, since I don't give a damn about either OSU or Mizzou and was only kindasorta paying attention.

Edit: No I just watched some highlights, and it was that very last interception they were showing. Whatever it was I was watching had the angle perfect, and a still shot of the ball touching the ground in beautiful HD, or as HD as you can get with the video paused.

Thank you MBK! So ESPN or someone in the media is aware of the missed call. Glad to hear that. I have been getting a lot of unwarranted criticism over this for some reason.
