TB
JAMEIS WINSTON QBFLORIDA ST.
Winston is the prototypical drop-back passer. He throws too many interceptions, but you can take that if he's willing to make the next step at the NFL level. With last-year's first-round pick Mike Evans and second-round pick Austin Seferian-Jenkins, plus Vincent Jackson, the Buccaneers want to push the football down the field and this kid will help them do that.
2
TEN
MARCUS MARIOTA QBOREGON
Critics say the "Oregon spread" doesn't have progressions, doesn't have reads. That's a misconception. Zach Mettenberger was a sixth-round pick last year but he has first-round talent. However, he also has off-field issues. If a team is drafting somebody at No. 2 overall, that team is expecting him to be ready to go Day 1.
3
JAC
DANTE FOWLER, JR. OLBFLORIDA
The Jaguars can team Fowler and newcomer Jared Odrick to form a formidable defensive front. He reminds me of Khalil Mack from last year's draft.
4
OAK
AMARI COOPER WRALABAMA
This kid is most pro-ready receiver in the draft. What a great upgrade for second-year quarterback Derek Carr.
5
WAS
LEONARD WILLIAMS DEUSC
This is the top player on my board, and this club is ecstatic he's available at No. 5.
6
NYJ
KEVIN WHITE WRWEST VIRGINIA
White would be a great addition to the Jets. Is he a one-year wonder? That's the question, but his upside is tremendous. He gives Geno Smith another weapon.
7
CHI
TRAE WAYNES CBMICHIGAN ST.
Waynes comes from a great program at Michigan State, and he'll be a Day 1 starter alongside Kyle Fuller.
8
ATL
BUD DUPREE OLBKENTUCKY
Dupree is a fast riser. The tape is not as consistent as coaches would like, but he's so genetically gifted. You can see the ability; he just needs more consistency.
9
NYG
BRANDON SCHERFF OGIOWA
Perfect fit for the Giants. Scherff benefited from the play of the Dallas Cowboys' Zack Martin, a left tackle in college who moved inside in the NFL. Scherff will give the Giants more options up front and is one of the safer picks in this draft.
10
STL
ERECK FLOWERS OGMIAMI
I think St. Louis would like to trade down. However, Flowers is a body mover; a developmental top-level player.
11
MIN
DEVANTE PARKER WRLOUISVILLE
Parker was Bridgewater's teammate from Louisville. Parker can high-point the football, and was highly productive when on the field.
12
CLE
DANNY SHELTON NTWASHINGTON
The Browns were No. 32 against the running game last season. That will change with the addition of Shelton.
13
NO
VIC BEASLEY OLBCLEMSON
Beasley is probably the most natural pass rusher in the entire draft class. Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan can be creative with how he uses Beasley.
14
MIA
KEVIN JOHNSON CBWAKE FOREST
Johnson is the cleanest corner in the draft. By clean I mean he can play inside, outside, press, or off coverage. Coaches know what they're getting with Johnson.
15
SF
ARIK ARMSTEAD DTOREGON
The sky is the limit for Armstead. He's a perfect scheme fit for the 49ers as a five-technique defensive lineman.
16
HOU
BRESHAD PERRIMAN WRCENTRAL FLORIDA
Let's make whoever plays quarterback for the Texans happy. The knock on Perriman was his hands, but he showed natural hands at his pro day.
17
SD
TODD GURLEY RBGEORGIA
The Chargers were No. 30 in the league in rushing last season. They have to give Philip Rivers some help, and Gurley is a game-changer.
18
KC
CAMERON ERVING CFLORIDA ST.
Andy Reid loves the big fellas, and Erving fits a need. He is the best center in the draft and upgrades the whole line.
19
CLE
MELVIN GORDON RBWISCONSIN
Cleveland can follow the Seattle model for winning. Run the football, play good defense and special teams, and then win it in the fourth quarter. Gordon has the best patience and balance of any running back in the draft. I think there's still plenty of time with the depth at wide receiver for Cleveland to circle back and get a receiver. Gordon changes a team's offense.
20
PHI
DAMARIOUS RANDALL FSARIZONA STATE
Randall is probably the fastest-rising prospect in this draft class. He has coverage skills and great range on the back end. This kid is today's NFL safety; he has great range but you give up some physicality.
21
CIN
MALCOM BROWN DTTEXAS
With the top edge-rushing prospects off the board, the Bengals go with Brown. Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther will be happy to have him.
22
PIT
BYRON JONES CBCONNECTICUT
Jones blew up the combine, jumping farther in the standing broad jump than any human being ever did. Jones can play press corner or even free safety.
23
DET
ANDRUS PEAT OTSTANFORD
This guy can be a right or left tackle. He's a gifted player.
24
ARI
D.J. HUMPHRIES OTFLORIDA
Humphries is the best left tackle in this draft class. Cardinals general manager Steve Keim has done a great job upgrading that offensive line. They have to protect their 35-year-old quarterback, Carson Palmer.
25
CAR
T.J. CLEMMINGS OTPITTSBURGH
Clemmings was a high school basketball player and has just two years of experience on the offensive side of the football. He will help the Panthers' offensive line immediately.
26
BAL
MARCUS PETERS CBWASHINGTON
From a talent perspective, Peters is probably a top-15 pick. There are off-the-field concerns with Peters. Again, the Ravens are patient and get a talented kid.
27
DAL
LANDON COLLINS SSALABAMA
This is not sexy, but Collins is a solid pick. He can help on special teams, and play linebacker in the dime package. This is not a boom-or-bust situation.
28
DEN
JAKE FISHER OTOREGON
This is the left tackle who fits coach Gary Kubiak's scheme the best. Fisher can last in a high-tempo offense.
29
IND
CEDRIC OGBUEHI OTTEXAS A&M
Ogbuehi is one of the most skilled offensive tackles in the draft. He tore his ACL in January and is still recovering, but he can be a 10-year starter once healthy.
30
GB
DENZEL PERRYMAN ILBMIAMI
Ray Lewis. Jonathan Vilma. Jon Beason. Perryman is another one of those tough, hard-hosed linebackers from "The U". Perryman also allows the Packers to move Clay Matthews back outside.
31
NO
DORIAL GREEN-BECKHAM WRMISSOURI
Green-Beckham is a boom-or-bust prospect, but is gifted beyond all know how.
32
NE
RANDY GREGORY OLBNEBRASKA
Gregory is another boom-or-bust prospect. He has top-10 talent and is really intriguing. Will Bill Belichick consider selecting Gregory? Teams are always looking for edge rushers, and the Patriots have a great locker room environment to develop that talent. Amazing thing is, Gregory's very smart. If he can get his head wrapped around straight, he can be a Pro Bowler.
