Michael Smith breaks down the Texans

So funny to hear John (sitting in for Mike/Mike) in this podcast talk about how we will lose to Jacksonville..and Michael Smith replies with "They SWEPT the Jaguars. They pushed Indianapolis to the limit and then actually BEAT THEM at the end of the season...and remember that this was a defense in Houston who was not so good through about week four, and then from the 4th week to the 16th week they were the 10th ranked defense in the league."

He laid down the smack, and John was like "uhh..." and he finally went along with Michael and agreed with Michael as Michael kept talking because he just realized that we SWEPT the Jaguars last year...so it was obvious to this non-expert (John) that he had been running his mouth and didn't have the facts on our team like Michael did.

Michael Smith is the ONLY analyst who does real research anymore. All the other guys are cliff-noting and just copying/parroting each other like a bunch of guys in college who bump into each other in the halls in between classes and give each other the answers to the pop quizzes in their classes.

"OK, here's the deal: The Texans have a bad o line, David Carr was treated unfairly and will flourish after he gets the bad taste of Houston out of his mouth, the Texans are idiots for passing on Vince and Reggie, and they do not have a legitimate number 2 wide receiver. Got it? OK! Now run with it..."

Just a bunch of guys in the halls of ESPN...bumping into each other, watching each other's shows...parroting one another and telling lies that everyone but us is believing. So sad.

Some day, the people that run ESPN are going to catch onto this kind of weak, pathetic excuse for honest journalism/commentary and there'll be a house-cleaning to get it respectable. Right now, it's just pure laziness on their behalf.

That's why Golic has us going 5-11.

How do we go 5-11 after going 2-14 under Dom and David...then going 6-10 under Kubiak and David...and now we have Kubiak and Schaub, and a whole bunch of 2nd year guys under Kubiak (Owen Daniels, for example) who are going to PUNCH teams in the mouth now?

I don;t know how Michael Smith works there.

He should start his own media outlet: MSSN (Michael Smith Sports Network). Dude does his homework. Period.
