Considering McNair has been helping him out, maybe he would like to got to Tennessee.
I know he's the hometown kid but if someone gave me the option of giving me a couple million dollars to either:
A: Move home where I will be worshiped, but pestered and used by every person who can get their hands on me and my money. Mom living right down the street (remember he's 23 or 24). Likely sit for atleast a year behind a quarterback that can't really teach me how to improve my style of game. All with a new head coach and uncertainty of how long it will take the team to get on it's feet for the first time in their history... oh yeah, the kid that played quarterback for 4 years before you got drafted was consistently pounded because of a poor offensive line.
B: Go to a town where I will be worshiped by football fans but in general I'll be able to keep a lower profile, hopefully be able to go out in public and go about my life at least for a few years... not having Mom down the street. Not as many people mooching off of me. (Remember, the downfall of most people with money is that they give too much of it away helping "friends in low places" he'll certainly have a bunch of those in Houston). I'll sit behind a quarterback who I've known for a while, respect and best of all he knows what I need to know. The franchise is currently in bad shape but the same coach/ owner went to the Super Bowl.
I don't know about you guys but I'd choose option B, I can live in Houston from Febuary to June if I miss home.
