What are the chances we go after him though with his size? Is he a three-technique or could he play alongside Amobi? I've heard nothing but good things about this kid but Aren't we looking for a little more size inside? Also, for the record, is his first name Jerry or Peria?

His name is Peria Jerry. I think he's around 6'2 315lbs. He can play both the 3 and the 1 technique, but he plays the 1 technique a lot more for Ole Miss. He's not huge, but he's quick, strong, and agile. Right now, I don't know if the Texans need a compliment to Amobi or an upgrade over him. Either way, Jerry can flat out play.

I can tell you what the Texans don't need, and that is another 3 Technique Tackle on the D-Line. They need a space-eater, a true Nose Tackle. He doesn't have to be exceptionally quick but he neds to be able to stuff the run and collapse the pocket with a bull rush during passing downs. An added benefit is when the NT can tip passes at the line-of-scrimage, just like Shaun Rogers did today for the Browns.
 
People laughed at me last year when I said Matt Ryan would/should be the #1 pick. Bradford is the best QB in college. He will be the first QB taken in the upcoming draft and he will be a good pro. Stafford will be a bust.

Nobody laughed at you when you said he would be the #1 pick.

I was skeptical that he should be. You were right. I wasn't.

I thought he would be the first QB drafted by virtue of being the most NFL ready. Not true. He is the real deal.

Davis gets away with a lot of the throws he makes because he has a strong arm. And Ball State runs the same spread offense that most college teams run. No different.

And you guys can underrate Clausen all you want. But I am willing to bet that he will do better earlier in his NFL career than Bradford of McCoy or Davis will just because he runs a true pro-style offense, ala Matt Ryan. It's no mistake that he's as good as he is right now. He ran a pro-style in college and the transition to the NFL was a lot more smoother for him.

You're dumb.

Davis makes a ton of plays with his feet. He has an exceptional feel for the rush when in the pocket and rolls outside the pocket while keeping his shoulders square downfield. He keeps his feet moving on the plays. Also, he has repeatedly shown the ability to get his own yards with his feet when he wants to.

Clausen has a ton of physical gifts as does the young QB behind him, but Clausen isn't NFL ready. Clausen will be a 4 year player. His game hasn't matured as quickly as some, and his decision making isn't very good right now. Give him time, he has the potential, but he had a long ways to go on the mental side of QBs.
