Marshawn Lynch

I still think if AP is still around, the Texans pick him up. If the Texans were really serious about Lynch I think they will try to get a decent offer to trade down. Since they might be some other top rb canidates in the second round, pittman, irons, darby, jackson, I think other needs might be filled in the first round. Quin, Ginn and Johnson would be my top canidates.

lynch may be a better fit for the whole "denver" system but as so many people have stated that denver doesnt draft those guys in the 1st rd. not to mention we're selecting 8...and imo and most thats a stretch,, big reach to grab lynch.

I personally would much rather have peterson for many reasons. his injuries do concern me a bit though. none of them have been serious enough for me to think they are reocurring..etc..no knee injuries so that's good. all his injuries seem to be because of hard running and 'fluke' plays. but w/ his style he's more likely to get injured than the next guy because of that style. if he's out because of a fluke rib injury...he's still out and that hurts us.

peterson should be selected before lynch for any team. denver, us...anybody. i like him as a fit for this team for a few reasons. i love his style, hard nosed dude not afraid to get the extra yard. we aren't denver..and wont ever be...at least for a while. i don't care, we're the texans and kubiak is running us which may be similar to denver. i think peterson can be a great back on this team with dayne coming in...and this throwing in taylor and lundy some as well. peterson can catch the ball out of the backfield pretty well too. i see houston as being a lot more physical?..hard nosed? type of running than denver but who am i to comment on that...i think peterson would be better in a texans uni moreso than lynch.

i don't want to bring up the supposed character? issues of lynch...if we'll call it that but he's been accused of some stuff and is a lot different that peterson personality wise. i see our staff being blown away by peterson in an interview by his humbleness and maturity...lynch im not so sure of. i'm not going to sit here and say he looks like a thug, acts like one, or talks like one...because that is fairly immature. but i don't feel like lynch even compared to peterson as far a what the texans would want here in houston representing them. jmho.

What a joke of a mock,

1) Peterson lasts 'til 16
2) Picks 2 and 3 are ridiculous. Detroit will take Joe Thomas.
3) Olsen goes in the first, but Jarrett, Bowe, and Rice don't... to a team with a very good TE.
4) Meachem to Tenn. for no good reason other than that he played at UT.
5) Texans taking Lynch with Peterson on the board because of Lynch's hands? Huh, Denver gets 40 catches per year out of their starting RBs. Peterson's hands will be good enough.

i agree that lynch is a better fit, but peterson is better value. both will be excellent regardless.

That is likely the worst 2007 1st round mock I've ever seen, and I've seen a bunch of them lately.
