He might be whats too good to pass on.Dunta_23 said:Thats who I want at 33, unless something too good to be true falls out of round 1... But I think he is a necessity
nunusguy said:If we draft Reggie, its almost certain we use our second round pick on a
OT assuming we don't get one in FA. Mangold is very good, but he's a guard/center, not a tackle.
Now if we'd draft Ferguson, or another OT in the first round, maybe they'd
consider him with the #2. But you can on a regular basis NFL starting guards and centers on the second day, though maybe they aren't elite players like Mangold.

Gets good arm extension to keep defenders off his body. When Nick is beaten he recovers and adjusts well. Has a quick setup off the snap. Displays good footwork. Scrappy guy who plays to the whistle and sometimes past it. Nasty streak."
I'll have to disagree with that....Mediocrity would be welcome after the formula gave us our 2-14 implosion.
at pick #33, in order:
Ko Simpson - regardless of first round and who else is there.
Nick Mangold - depending on first round pick
Eric Winston - depending on first round pick
Tamba Hali - assuming we dont take Mario
A. Cromatine (sp) - If all of the above players are taken

I don't think we have the luxury of using our only second round pick on aninfantrycak said:That is a formula for building mediocrity--passing on an elite player to force a need, especially a need which is arguably no greater than the elite player's position. interior OLineman, we have too many more pressing priorities: OT, TE, MLB,
DE, etc.
But as far as populating an OL with second day picks, Kubiak's old team does it on a regular basis, and they've got a pretty good OL. Their guy at LT wasn't even drafted when he came out of college. Remember ?
AtheGreat said:I agree with most of the picks yall had in that order (Ko, Mangold, etc.) but what do yall think about Lenard Pope with our 2nd 3rd round pick? Seems like an Alge Crumpler to me. Big, good hands, and can run decent routes. Im not to sure of his blocking though. Just a thought.

you build to be great for the future, not to be decent next year

Maddict5 said:i like pope aswell and would be happy to take him at #33 but theres so many good te's this year that the dropoff in talent ,in lets say FS, is alot bigger than te's..so thats why id take Ko in the 2nd and hopefully Byrd and eslinger in the 3rd
