Looking for tickets to the All Access

If anybody has a couple of extra or so passes for this event please PM me. There are some kids I would like to take. Kids that would never get to go to anything like this otherwise.

I'd even be willing to pay you for your trouble if need be.

Thanks

yeah, the Texans are being stingy with them this year. I had to beg for an extra one so I can bring my boy.

How do you get these passes? Are they reserved just for the season ticket holders? I'm not a holder yet. I'd LOVE to go.

They are reserved for season ticket holders and we can only get as many passes as we have season tickets. I believe they gave them out to people on the season ticket waiting list last year--you might be able to contact them to get a pass--you never know--sometimes they are cool giving out stuff like this and sometimes not.

I hope they only wind up in season ticket holders hands. The lines are so long, it's hardly worth waiting in them, especially since you don't know who is signing in which lines.

If they're giving out just a certain number of tickets (which is how I understand this to be), what does it matter who gets these tickets? Just because I didn't have a 1,000 dollars to shell out doesn't make me any less of a fan than you. That's how I'm interpreting your post. It seems like you're calling people who don't have season tickets 'bandwagon' people. If I'm wrong then I apologize.

For what it's worth, I'm on the waiting list now (got my degree and make a little more money now) but I've always been a huge fan. From day one. I have a dream and that's to someday sit in the bullpen or in the great seats or be one of those guys who are nuts and end up becoming a staple of the community. It's not going to happen for years but I'll never relent on that dream. Nosebleeds it has to be.

NitroHonda,

I don't wish to speak for Bull Pen 1, but since I feel similiar I want to speak on it.

I too hope that it is only for season tickets holders. Shoot I need an extra perk for paying those thousands of dollars. The Houston Texans in my opinion need to do more things for their season ticket holders. The average person would wonder why even purchase PSL's or season tickets if there is not an added bonus than just buying single ticket games....

But anyways I love the Texans and will continue to shell out the money regardless. But extras would be nice.:whip:

I APPRECIATE THE RESPONSE and would hope more people do. This is something that I'd like to discuss somewhat. At least become more informed on the subject.

The problem though that I see is that I'm on the waiting list now. The Texans have monopolized the ticket market. I don't know the numbers but I heard that like 60,000+ fans are season ticket holders which means EVERYONE virtually. All you're paying for is the right to reserve tickets as a season ticket holder. Anything else the Texans give you is a fringe benefit that's unavailable to the general public, i.e. the 10,000 fans (IF THAT MANY) who are lucky enough to score some tickets in a city full of Texans fans.

There's a waiting list. It's a long one, too. Only way I've been able to get my tickets over the last few years was to go to a ticket broker and grossly overpay for a single game. Couldn't afford to pay for 8 games but I could afford to pay for 2 which indicentially would be the price of one game via the broker.I guess it feels like every game is a playoff game when it comes to paying the price if you're not a season ticket holder. You just have to be lucky or grossly overspend. I think there's something wrong there.

I could be wrong on everything that I've said. Again, I'm here to become more informed.

Actually, with the suckitude of our team recently, you can get PSLs off the secondhand market for usually face value now (unlike me, who paid a 400% premium for his Bullpen PSLs doh). Try looking around and see what you can find.

Heck, if you'd like to sit in the Bullpen, I'd be willing to help you out with that, giving you the tickets at cost nonetheless. You'd just have to promise me that you'd be LOUD ALL THE TIME (well, not when we're on offense, but you get the point). :D

If you're actually interested, PM me.

But...back to the subject at hand. PSL's really aren't that hard to obtain, so it might not even really be worth it to be on the season ticket holder's list.

NitroHonda - We (the existing Season Ticket Holders) feel your pain, but we do want "some" value on our investment.

The "All Access" event just started last year...the story I've heard is that it was an idea brought over from Denver. It helps remind the loyal Season-Ticket holders that there are actually "perks" once in awhile. The lines were extremely long last year, and the placement seemed pretty random. While you may have gotten lucky and got the sig. of someone like Mario Williams or DeMeco Ryans, you might just as likely been stuck in a line for somebody on the Practice Squad (or worse).

Remember, we also get the privilege of paying full-price for pre-season games. There's no diff. in cost between a first week pre-season game OR a week 17 playoff-decider in terms of game ticket & parking pass.

I've got no trouble "giving back" (see above), if there's something I can't put to use due to scheduling. However, I spent the time & $$$ to become an original PSL / Season-Ticket holder, I'm not gonna feel too guilty about having benefits that the General Public doesn't.

I guess this is all payback for being a chronic hijacker? LOL

If anyone would like to send a kid along for the ride please know thats exactly what your tix would go to. All would be from single moms who will prolly appreciate the free daycare as I know at least one has to work Saturdays.

I am gonna hit the breakfast buffet with them on the way out, too. I hope I get to take as many as I can stuff in Ma's soccer sled.

Thanks

I'm not saying I'm a better fan than you are, all I said was these (this event) tickets are for season ticket holders. It the choice of the season ticket holders wheather are not to attend.

Nosebleeds aren't so bad, bro'. I've had a season ticket since the beginning, first in 600s and now in the 500s. They are non-PSL seats, too. You can see the game going both ways from the 500 endzones (sort of like a Madden view, I figure).

Us mountain goat herders make some noise up top, well!! :fans:

We were in one of the regular lines when they traded out players and were fortunate enough to get DeMeco's autograph. He was "only" the 2nd round pick, so most folks didn't pay him much attention. I have little doubt, though, that he'll be one of the longer lines this time around.

Ditto DB!

I have been a loyal section 500 occupant since year 2, hubby has had 500s seats since day 1. It is great to sit in the NEZ because you can sit and watch the plays develop....its pretty cool. Someones, we sneak down to the Bullpen and hurrah with BullPen1 and the gang.

We can bring it as loud as any other part of the stadium.

If we have any extra tix.....you got 'em Tailgater. Thats just too cool what you are doing with the kids....you usually roll with extras to sporting events don't you? I know you do to the Copperheads.

MYDAUGHTER'STEXANS, I'm asking all my season ticket buddies if they plan on going, and I've got a couple of 'not sures'. I've asked them to let me know if they can't make it, and if I can get extra passes, I'll let you know asap.

That's awesome. :thumbup

I'm going to have to pay a visit to the Bull Pen next year. It would be cool to meet some of the rabid fans that I've gotten to know from the boards.

Rut roh, thought I got that typo fixed. Oh well. :shades:

Maybe us posters should meet in a predetermined tailgating area at Reliant....kind of like last year. Would be nice to have more than a handful of Blue Crew and us FILOites to chatter at (not that there is anything wrong with the usual). Anyone know the particulars for parking this year?

I'm not sure if I can get tickets or not, but I'll check into it when I get official info on the event. Actually, I haven't gotten any official info yet, so there may be a chance that WE won't even be there (the BPPB). IF I can get tickets, I will gladly donate them in a situation like this!

More info later this week, hopefully!

I also agree about the line situation last year, btw. And if I remember correctly, the folks that were in charge in marketing back then (most of them are gone now, but that's another topic entirely) were fully aware of it after the event, too. I'm willing to bet they have that situation at least somewhat rectified this year.

I didn't mean to make it sound as if the nosebleeds were bad. I mean I remember seeing Robin Leach at the 1994 NBA Finals and I was three rows closer than him in the nosebleeds. Great memories at many venues in the nosebleeds. In fact, I probably would prefer the nosebleeds over time. I love being able to see the whole field. Sitting up in the 600 level is NOT a bad view at Reliant. I love it. Now the Astrodome was a whole different thang.

Now two years ago, game six of the Houston Rockets win against the Dallas Mavericks, I bucked up and spent every last dime I had on a row 'A' courtside seat. People called me stupid. I couldn't afford it. Let me tell you right now, I'll never do it again but oh my gosh! What an unbelievable experience! Unforgettable. I will remember it until the day I die. Amazing.

This is about the same level that I'd put the bullpen in. It's an experience that I'm going to look forward to happening. I PMed the fellow who offered it up to me but haven't heard anything yet.

Having the playoffs guaranteed and seats guaranteed is a great benefit anyway you look at it.

I realize that about the preseason games. That's definitely something that turns me off in regards to buying season tickets and something that probably warrants bringing attention to the executives.

You shouldn't feel guilty about having some extra benefits. I definitely get that. It's just the post of the person who stated that he'd hope that these 'spare tickets' don't fall in the hands of a non-season ticket holder. Limits are good but how far should they go is my concern.

I will probably have a couple extra tickets, but, won't know for sure until around Wed. I'll check back here then and see if anyone still needs a couple.

Well, TEXANSTAILGATER is first on the list with an unselfish cause and I'd be the second on the list for a selfish cause. Now, I'm not sure how many tickets TEXANSTAILGATER is looking for but it appears that person is looking for a bunch. I just want one for me. An extra so I can bring a friend is always nice but I'd be overjoyed with just one.

Personally, I have to admit that I love preseason games. Because: 1. There aren't that many of them; 2. Can't wait for the season to start; 3. You get to see guys play that might not get a chance.

I hope you get a ticket from someone, I do. But I am VERY glad they send one ticket per season ticket. For those who are not season ticket holders, they get roughly the same experience on draft day (which is free). All Access is a little something extra for those with season tickets.

Let's not forget the thread started here: 2 tickets are for his daughters.

I never intended for my post to be a "give 'em here instead" kinda deal. I was gonna put up a post asking too, but got beat. I didn't want to post a duplicate thread either.

The sweetheart in my avatar would like to go too, but she said she'll skip it if it means one of the other kids gets to go. Thats all from her. She refuses to spend any money she earns but would give anyone every cent she had if she thought they needed it.

Just hopin' to do some good with some youngsters that could use a break.

Thanks For Considering It

P.S. 4 tix is all I could use as thats all the extra seatbelts we have in Ma's ride.

I have 5 season tickets in the Bullpen, I am ONE person. If my kids don't go I would like nothing more than to GIVE my extra tickets to a diehard TEXAN fan who either cannot afford season tickets, or does not have enough for his/her family. I understand that this is suppose to be an event for season ticket holders only, BUT, I will do everything I can to make sure ANY kid gets a ticket. Sometimes this is their only chance to interact with a TEXAN, and I would love to give them that chance. It should be my business who I give my tickets to. JMO!! Again, I will check back on Wed. Right now, I am 99% certain I will have two extra tickets.

I actually don't care WHO goes. I think there was an argument in here that tickets should be mailed out to season ticket holders AND the season ticket waitlist members.

As long as there's only one ticket per PSL mailed out by the Texans, I don't care who actually uses them. I hope that makes sense.

I didn't know they sent them out to waitlist people, I really didn't. I gave two of my tickets to a friend last year who was on the waitlist and wanted to go. I just want all my tickets to be used by good Texans fans!

That was my biggest issue with a fan in this thread. I read his/her post to read that he/she didn't feel that these tickets shouldn't fall in the hands of non-season ticket holders period. I completely understand where you're getting at and I cannot but concur with what you're saying. There should be a limit and that's definitely reasonable. I've been lucky enough to attend not one but two fan-fest days for the Houston Rockets and I enjoyed them immensely.

They didn't mail me any tickets and I'm on the waiting list. Should they be obligated to send me these tickets merely because I'm on the wait list? I'm not so sure about that. I haven't purchased anything yet and it IS just a waiting list even though a deposit was put down.

Absolutely am in the same boat as you are. I consider myself a true fan and would relish on anything Texans that I can get my hands on. My problem specifically with the preseason games is the cost involved. I'd be paying the big bucks to see the guys with the big contracts play and this is forced upon me with preseason games. Not exactly a positive selling point was what I was trying to get at.

Send me just one. For me. Two's great so I can take a friend but one will do it. I'm in Pasadena. *hint hint* SEND THEM MY WAY! Of course, after the lady with all the kids gets to pass it on by.

I haven't gotten any and I spoke with my ticket representative as Texans_Chick recommended that I do. From what I understand, I haven't been on the waiting list long enough in order to get these tickets. I'm taking that to mean that. I've been on it for six months now but whatever. I'm going to take it as to it meaning that nobody gets these tickets but actual season ticket holders. I am not one yet.

Last year after game three I signed up for season tickets, that next Monday I recieved a call and got season tickets. They are in Sec.605 and really not bad seats. Plus I didn't have to come up with money for PSL's. Untill then I was buying tickets on the MB from people who had extra tix or not going. As far as the all access event I have not recieved my tix as of yet but called yesterday and was told mine have been mailed and should be here today or latest by Monday. For those asking for tix who are not season ticket holders they also have the Draft Day Party each year that is for everyone.
I ws lucky enough to enter and win the Draft Day Sweepsatakes this year, but it is a pretty cool event also.

My all access tix are here, can't wait. The letter says something about Rick Smith coming out at 1:45 on a stage on the field to introduce all our coaches and our favorite Texans. Maybe I can gat a pic of Mario and Amobi. If you can't tell by the size of the avatar that is a pic from Draft Day with DeMeco. That pic I had blown up to poster size for my Texan wall at home.

Out of curiosity, does it list that the BPPB will be there? We still don't have any info on whether or not we're playing this event.
