I read a comment on a thread last week about Eric Heitmann expressing interest in coming to play for the Texans. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if there is an article on him commenting about coming to Houston?

I talked to his fiance a couple weeks ago, everything is up in the air right now because he's a RFA and the Niners have first right to make an offer, but they just fired their GM and Head Coach.
 
I am still hanging around the Katy board, just browsing though. I am hoping that the 49er's will miss out on him because I would love to see him come back home. Would the Texans even go after him? I think he would gladly come to Houston for whatever they pay.
 
I would love to have him here, but it's the 49ers decision whether or not to resign him...They can match any offer we make, unless they decide not to...
 
I am just hoping the 49ers decide not too so we have a shot at him. I was upset that the Texans didn't draft him. I mean, such talent going in the 7th round seems criminal to me. :hairpull:

Ok, so this is like the 20th thread on Eric Heitmann, but I was wondering if there was any news on him. Are we looking at him? What's the deal there?
