LEts Focus on some Good Things

Mean Machine

Wow, yes, I am as upset as the next Texans fan that we are 0-4. But folks, it ain't over till it's over, just look at the Astros. So, I just wanted to point out three good things, especially from Sunday's game that I saw from way up in Section 638!

*Domanick Davis with over 170 all-purpose yards. He was running great and catching the ball and making great things happen.

*CC Brown is all over the place at Strong safety, clearly the hardest hitter and best nose for the ball we have seen back there at SS, and wasn't he a 6th rounder?

* Jerome Mathis' first official catch in the NFL. He showed really great hands and also looks to be rather tough for just one guy to bring down, almost Andre Johnson like.

So there's some good and I sure hope regardless of what happens Sunday nite in Seattle(which I really think we will win-we always have one somewhere in the season that we pull out of the hat) The Colts are coming in 2 weeks, it's Battle Red Day, lets wear red, be loud and win!
Go Texans!

Not to be a downer but, I wouldn't say any players on the defense have a nose for the ball. Since the team has no turnovers.

I would say he is right about C.C. Most Strong Safeties who play the run like he does don't register that many turnovers, so he is doing his job well.

you know there are things to be optimistic about, DC has a 90+ quarterback rating in the month of october last year with 7 or 8 TD's to 1 INT last year, not to bad. and DD hasn't hit any brick walls this season, and here is hoping he doesnt. he is 4th i believe in the league in YPC.

DD looked good last week. He seemed to be hitting holes a little quicker, and his total yardage was nice (especially if he can remain consistent from game to game).

I'm not comparing DD to Ladainian Tomlinson, but the Chargers ran some plays against the Steelers on MNF that I thought would be nice to see the Texans copy. One play in particular, where Drew Brees was being blitzed by two LBs and he dumped the ball off to LT (who had taken the place of one of the blitzing LBs).

I thought Brown and Robinson looked pretty good, too. It looks like our D could have a break out game any time, because they are not the dogs everyone is making them out to be. Sure, the stats don't look too good, but those guys might surprise everyone this Sunday.

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by choosing GEICO.
Man, you beat me to it Vinny, o well, other good things, there's only twelve games left and i will not have to purchase playoff tickets.

GEICO sucks. Come to Progressive. "If we treat you this good while your shopping for insurance, imagine what we'll do when you're a customer."

Thats the problem once you sign the dotted line all those prices and benefits seem to change.

WHAT good things? :challenge

In the NFL most teams will win 5 games & loose 5 games its the other 6 games that makes the season (Play offs) The texans just lost all their games at the start of the season maybe they can come back to playing like they did in the second half of last season.

Well, i think we are back to playing like the second half of last season. We crashed towards the end of last season with the cleveland game being the worst. Dom preaches consistency and we have been consistently bad since the end of last season.

1. High draft picks next year.

2. Lowered expectations for next year.

3. My Monday night's will be free for the next 2 + years.

4. Losing builds character

5. I have new-found respect for IBAR HARRY

Why? He is a Carr-only fan who will follow him to another team if he leaves. Ibar isn't a Texan fan.....he is a Carr fan. Ibar is happy about the current situation and gloats about it. Most Texan fans are unhappy.
