Couldn't the Texans re-sign Delhomme at the vet minimum, and have only 1/2 of that count against the cap? I'd rather have Jake at a cap value of $500k than Leinart at $2.5 million.
Good point, Lucky.

let's use the cap room we got from cutting leinart to sign Scar-Jo up to be a Texans cheerleader

As a USC fan, I remember Matt throwing his teammates under the bus after they lost to Vince Young.
Glad to see the clown go.
I agree. Delhomme looked pretty good against the Titans and imho would make a better and much cheaper backup than Leinart.
(on where he goes from here) Im going to go I-10 East. Thats where Im going to go. You know what, Ill be honest with you, you never want to say never, but to end on a note like this, for me, this game of football has been fantastic for me. The NFLs been awesome and last year, it just wasnt a fun experience playing up in Cleveland for me, got hurt and just the way things were, the way that things were run, it was just a total disconnect between the front office and the coaches. For me, to come to a place like this where everybodys on the same page and to see the way these guys work, its been great. If Ive left this game, Ive left it on a high note. You think about a lot of things coming back last night. My last pass Ive ever thrown, if this was, was a touchdown, so thats kind of cool.
(on him still saying if in regards to playing his last season) Im being very realistic. I turned 37 last week. Im not moving my family. Im not going somewhere to start over. Im not doing that. This kind of just fell into my lap, so to speak. You certainly dont think youre going to get the injuries that this team had. Who knows? If this is the end, which most likely it is, its been pretty nice.
Wait! Per Delhomme on Jan. 16th. Does this sound like a guy who wants to come back, much less for the league minimum?
