That is stupid, why do they make up power rankings for the NFL, do writers really get that bored.

I just dont like when people put the Titans in front of us.
 
I like reading offseason prediction articles. They're usually good for a laugh.

If I were petty, I'd store them up and then throw them back at the people who wrote them in December. Like those people last year who said: "The Cardinals are really going somewhere this year" Yeah, just like every other year.
 
Well its off season power rankings. So thats really all he has to go on, besides a few additions, subtractions.

But really who cares, like you said, its based on last years performance.
 
It's interesting because the overall ranking includes Draft acquisitions, but the division write-ups were done before the draft. The one written before the draft seems more optimistic than the ranking done after. That makes me think that the person who devised the ranking was part of the "how stupid are the Texans for not taking Reggie" club. This bias will probably last until we have a credible winning team.

Why is it that I believe you'd be touting these ratings if the Texans were ranked higher? :confused:

Um, "we" (Texans fans) didn't even show up to a lot more than just one game last year. Some of those home games attendance wise looked more like some of the last games the Oilers played before moving on.

I was kidding the first time and was going to edit it after you edited yours, then you said it again, and I was curious if you even knew how many games were in a season... but eh, its not my night so...

I follow the Buffalo Sabres in hockey. SABRES not Bills!!! Anyway... the Sabres were picked by EVERYONE to be last in their division and by many to be in the bottom of the NHL. Didn't affect anything but make prognosticators look like idiots. Just shut people up and have a great season.

It's a .500 or better club that could tickle the playoff hunt. I hope so. That would be a strong turnaround making the playoffs.
 
my prediction, by midseason we will be ranked 19 th, rather than 29th, with a defensive ranking of 12 or 13. 15th against the run and 10th against the pass. at this time all these "how could they pass up on reggie bush" guys will be stammering trying to explain it, and the network guys will be praising the great rebuilding job.

Actually, I see us about 17 against the run and 19 against the pass right now, and I'm usually overly optimistic... but our offense will explode.

I think we'll be better against the run than that - and teams will be forced to pass making our pass defence look worse.
