Nelson's mom has said he will be entering the draft. He himself has said nothing either way but should be riding some big hype to April.

...but...Landry is a Senior this year.
He came back last year when he was the 3rd best FS and now as a senior he is the 2nd best that is draft elligable.

LaRon is a senior and is the best defensive player of this draft. Possibly the best safety since Ed Reed.

I wouldn't say he's the top defensive player, period, but I'd put him right up with Nelson or any other DB. I don't think there's much separation if any between Landry and Nelson, but I've watched Landry for four years, and I'd be thrilled to see him in a Texans uniform. He brings the lumber, has a knack for making the play, is durable and smart and is a real leader. Plus, not a bad athlete. Benches well over 400, runs a 4.45 and has a 39-inch vertical leap, so he'll do well in the combines. But if we were to wind up with Nelson, I could live with that, too.

I am sure some of you will want to take your shots and pound on me for this one, but I think Michael Griffin is the equal of Landry and Nelson. MG is always around the ball, has a knack for making the big play, is a dynamo on special teams and holds the NCAA record for blocked kicks. There you go, flame away.

Why not? There aren't positions you DONT select in the top 10 no matter what besides punter and kicker...and long snapper.
No flames, but Griffin is way too aggressive. He bites on everything, outruns his guy ... a problem anywhere, but very very dangerous as a safety. Sure that aggression makes him produce the big highlight reel stuff. The problem is it produces the highlight reel stuff for his opponents as well.
