Keys to winning against the Steelers

Quite likely. Actually can anyone remember one single game where the Texans controlled the line on both sides of the ball for the overwhelming majority of the game?

Nothing comes to mind. Even the Oakland win last season and the Jacksonville shutout were about takeaways and often times good luck (penalties helping to kill our opponents drives, dropped passes). We just don't push anybody around on offense or defense really.

No way we're pushing the Steelers around this week.

I know this is off topic, but do you live by Oak Ridge, North Carolina? It is cut off in your location I believe. If so, I live in Summerfield, not 10 minutes away, off 158. I have a good friend who lives on Scoggins in Oak Ridge, right behind the fire department.

Anyways, the key to you guys winning is stopping the run. You guys stuffed us in the red zone last week, and I must say, most impressively at that. However, Pittsburgh has studs that can pound the ball better than we can. You must stop the run and force Ben to go to the air. It was proven later last year that Ben isn't the very good when relied upon to throw in zone schemes, and it is one of the reasons he didn't throw alot last year. Kill the ground game, get the ball in the air and create turnovers. But it all starts with killing the run. However, killing the run does mean controlling the LOS.

Good luck. I hope to see a more cheerful group here this evening, and that would take a notch in the W column.

later.
