KEYE backing down: Coverage map says will show TEXANS this week!

The KEYE website says the tacks v. colts are on Sunday.

I seriously hope the Colts crush them like grapes.
 
Damn. I just e-mailed this to my dad without reading on. I wonder if YESPN would be interested in such a story. You would never see this crap anywhere else.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I took a look at the late game on CBS. What's with the little pocket of green (Den-Oak) in the middle of Tennessee? I'm just speculating, because I don't know what it's like out there, but are they showing this game because of Jay Cutler love? Like I said, pure speculation. Any thoughts?

keye42sucks.com has had THOUSANDS of visitors. And like I said the other day, I answered well over 40 emails.

I wish I had a little more time on my hands to really juice up the site with video, statistics and crap. Hopefully after this week...its magazine design week.

What a pathetic site (thanksKEYE 42). One paragraph written basically showing crap. Starts talking about Texas history and men from Tennesee moving down here. To sum it up, crap.

Yes, the responses you got made me want to hurl. Most of those losers aren't even NFL fans or if they are they are Cowturd fans with a man crush on VY. It's a real shame VY didn't go to the Redskins or another NFC East team. Those tards would look real stupid rooting for the Cowboys and Redskins.
 
A friend of mine said he was able to watch the Texans - Chiefs game at home last weekend (this is in San Marcos). He said it wasn't k-eye but one near it, maybe KENS? I'm not really sure. Does the programming change a little between Austin and San Marcos?

Yes, SM gets San Antonio TV, which was KENS. The irony is SA was the one refusing to show the Texans when Austin was on board.
 
Hookem: that was me. I feel the same way you do in your other thread. All the crap dished out to the Texans has made me form my first deep emotional attachment to the Texans like I had for the Oilers. I have become much closer to the Texans.

All the Texans hate has dampened my enthusiasm for UT football. The Texans are like a bullied kid and it has evoked my mother hen protective side.

But that doesn't lessen my disdain for K-EYE....this is bigger than just me and my desire to watch the game at home.

College ball is played on Saturdays, pro ball is played on Sundays...it's pretty simple really. Do you love Chicago because Benson is the starting RB? VY is a gifted athelete and I wish him well, except everytime he lines up across from the TEXANS....it's called loyalty, all of the locals are professionals now, they will trade teams in a heartbeat for the money......what makes them special to us is they are on our HOME team, your loyality will fade when either the titans have a losing season (which they will very soon) or VY leaves for more money somewhere else.....just admit your a fair weather fan when it comes to pro football....tell me I am wrong, you love college ball and that is it.

They made a desicion to switch to the Texans several mornings ago.

Let's see if it lives up. We should still go out to 3rd base however and have a great time again!

That's odd cause the coverage map initally showed that Austin would be getting the Texans game (which I think was a mistake), then they switched to the Titans game, and now are they switching back? Vinson sure seems like he can be influnced by peole outside his station.
 
This is the email i got:

"I have had an on going dialogue with KEYETV in regards their decision not to carry the Texans on Sept. 7th and received a reply from Gary Vinson on September 10th relative to the 16th game. His opening statement was "Thanks for writing to KEYE. We made our game choice for the 16th this morning and chose the Texans game, so your information is correct." (I had information that KEYE would be carring the Texans game on the 16th). "

Vinson confirmed with who?

My TimeWarner guide still says Colts against the Titans. I just checked.
 
The KEYE programming guide still shows Colts/Titans. If this was just a random e-mailer to the site who offered no proof, I sure wouldn't trust it. LOL
 
It was just a visitors email that was sent to me. TONS of people cc me on all their messages to KEYE.

I just emailed Vinson asking him to confirm with me.
 
I don't know his schedule, but I would assume he doesn't work weekends, so you may not hear back from him.

Regardless - I hope this doesn't affect the watch party.
 
I don't see why it should affect the watch party. It is too much fun and a stadium like atmosphere to not go to third base.

Apparently the email to the person that emailed me was a mistake.

Vinson accidently said the 16th, when he really meant the 23rd of September as a game to be shown. (Even though they are only showing Texans because Titans dont play on CBS that week)

The emailer to me did not include the other part of the conversation where Vinson corrects his mistake.

So, the Titans are on instead of Texans this week.

Oh, by the way, Vinson visits these boards and watches all these posts.

edit: That kind of language is not allowd on this board. My disdain for Gary Vinson makes me post things I should not. I would love for him to comeout to 3rdBase and to here us and our chants of KEYE SUCKS!!

Sure is a shame. They've got decent programming out there but I've got cable and 200 plus channels. Guess it's time for me to edit my channel lineup NOT to include KEYE. I will not in anyway contribute to their services at all whatsoever. I'm a customer who deserves better than this. If you truly want to see just how devoted us Texans fans are, come see us at Third Base. We're all good people who just want to have a good time and enjoy the hometown team. I seriously doubt that you'll even take the opportunity to see just how you can improve your programming choices.

The Texans should be on KEYE 9/23,Titans have a Mon night game,9/30 The Titans have a bye week.10/7 The Titans host Atlanta hence a Fox game.So the next time The Texans and The Titans play at the same time is 10/14.So we have to keep up the demand for The Texans!

I pulled the trigger and got Direct TV installed today...so take a hike keye and time warner...
But I still got a dog in this fight, because this just isn't right what vinson is choosing to do.

So lets keep this fight going, the Spirit of Texans fans will win this battle on the western front.

If I was a college football fan first and casual fan of the NFL second, i.e., most Austin people it seems, I would probably want to watch the Colts/Tacks too. I feel for the Texans fans there who can't see the game on network TV, but I could care less about VY groupies who coo like little girls when they catch a glimpse of the guy, and who call a team from 1000 miles away "my titans." They can do whatever they want. Screw em. I'm certainly not going to kiss their asses and beg them to be Texans fans.
