Kenny Irons RB - Auburn

i really like what this guy has brought to the table, i think he could be a good pick up for us in the second round if he falls that far, i think we should trade away DD and get some type of draft picks for him...i think if we can get irons, we can start him and then we use either dayne or lundy to back him up...what do you think?

Nobody is going to trade for a player on IR with a very probable career ending injury. I am not sure you can even trade an injured player.

I wouldn't mind Irons at all in the 2nd.

p.s. whichever team gets C.J. Spiller in a few years is gonna be a lucky one.

Irons doesn't do much for me. He doesn't excell at any specific area. His cutback ability is his best trait, but I wouldn't consider it special. He does run hard, but so does dayne.

i dont know if Irons is ever going to be the same again, ever since Marcus Mcneil left, he hasnt done much besides get hurt.

Agreed.

As for Irons, I'm not overly fond of him. He has pretty good speed and explosion but he's not overly agile, and he doesn't run with a lot of power. I don't think he runs with great vision a lot of the time either. He's pretty good in most areas but not special in any one. He's a pretty solid overall prospect, but to me he's just slightly better than Wali Lundy in just about every aspect, and I wouldn't use a 1st day pick on a guy that is not a pretty significant upgrade in at least one area over what we already have.

good point. I was higher on him in the pre-season than I am now. I thought he was going to be the next great Auburn back, but this year has been a dissapointment.
