Maybe he could be a possible replacement for Seth Payne at the NT position idonno: He plays for the Steelers and I'm pretty sure he is very familiar with our 3-4 scheme. Pittsburgh orginial starting NT is Casey Hampton but he got hurt, so Chris Hoke is taking his place for now. Clancy rarely plays, and I'm pretty sure the Steerlers have him on the roster just for depth at the NT position. Clancy becomes an UFA after the season, and I'm pretty sure Pittsburgh will not get into a big bidding war for his services. Plus, Clancy has an great oppourtunity to earn the starting job here so it would be a smart move by him to come here because he would definitely recieve alot of PT which would benefit his career greatly if he wants the chance to start in this league. I don't think this guy will demand too much money either idonno: What do you guys think idonno:

I'm pretty sure that the steelers released him in the beginning of the year and we didn't pick him up so I don't think that the texans will pick him up.

He still plays for the Steerlers F-minus, and the Steelers have plenty of cap room so why would they have to release him in the beginning of the year idonno:

He becomes a UFA after this season, everyone believes we need some help in the front seven especially at the NT position because Seth Payne keeps getting hurt. So I think we should make a serious effort to sign this guy because he is still young, has plenty of football left in his career, plus he already knows the 3-4 system, and he could become a good productive player as he see's more action on the field

You are correct. He was released September 6, 2004. Evidently nobody wanted him as he was available for them to resign on October 20, 2004 after Hampten went down.
