Texans | Kubiak will retain Hoke

I think everyone on this board loved the passion that both of these coaches showed. I for one am happy to see that they'll be back on our sidelines. :redtowel:

I'll be surprised if they will use Bush on returns. He may back up Mathis, or take one once in a while. His returns were not that great in college actually. I think Mathis is our best bet. Why bench a pro-bowler for an unknown, not to mention the injury risk. Maybe you can explain?:ok:

Yeah, I saw that earlier.

I wonder what is up with Kippy Brown. Originally, he was mentioned as someone who might be staying. Maybe not.

Hoke + Pbuc+2006=Improvement?

A more consistent pass rush would improve the secondary immediately. Got better at the end of the year, but we were playing sorrier teams.

If we use Bush in the return game, I'll be strictly on punt returns, which is Mathis' weakspot.

Bush returned many punts in college, we would have a double threat. Mathis on kickoffs, Bush on punts.

Mathis is a pro bowler and all pro. Bush, if we get him, will not be returning kicks. Maybe punts, depending on Pbuc.
