kastofsna Post-Schaub Mock

1st round---------------------

S LaRon Landry 6' 0 1/2" 213 4.35 LSU (most likely gone at this point)
or
CB Leon Hall 5' 11 1/4" 193 4.39 Michigan

2nd round ---------------------------

---no pick---

3rd round ---------------------------

if we couldn't get Landry,I would have to go with one of these three safeties:
S Sabby Piscitelli 6' 2 3/4" 224 4.47 Oregon St
S John Wendling 6' 1 1/4" 222 4.49 Wyoming
S Eric Weddle 5' 11 1/4" 203 4.49 Utah
if we do get Landry, I would go with:

DE Brian Robison 6’ 3 1/8” 259 4.67 Texas

4th round ---------------------------

BPA
possibly
OT Doug Free 6’ 6 ¼” 324 5.19 Northern Illinois
or
LB Zac DeOssie 6' 4 5/8" 250 4.58 Brown (could even fill in as a long snapper or an emergency QB) (could possibly be had later)

5th round ---------------------------

BPA
possibly
P Daniel Sepulveda 6' 2 7/8" 229 4.8 Baylor
OC Doug Datish 6' 4 1/8" 302 5.13 Ohio St

6th round ---------------------------

if he is still here I would grab this guy without a doubt:
WR David Ball 6' 0 7/8" 196 4.5 New Hampshire
otherwise,
CB Anthony Arline 6’ 1 ¾” 199 4.43 Baylor
or
RB Steve Baylark 6' 0" 225 4.5 U Mass

7th round ---------------------------
this is definately a BPA...
maybe...
DE CJ Ah You 6’ 3 ¾” 274 4.70 Oklahoma
QB Jared Zabransky 6’ 2” - 219 Boise State

UDFA--------------------------------
if we don't get Zabransky in the 7th, I would look for this guy as an undrafted free agent...
QB Jeff Smith 6' 6" 246 - Georgetown College (Kentucky)

Interesting...but I would think you could get Sepulveda in the 6th...and try to fill another need in the 5th...but I am with you...we definetly need to draft Sepulveda if it takes the 5th so be it...take him in the 5th, but I would hope in the 6th.

To be honest, I have seen Sepulveda rated as high as the 4th round. Stanley is great at downing punts inside the 20 yd line, but when he is backed up to the goal line, he kills us. Personally, I'm tired of it.

I can agree 100% with that. He absolutely kills what little field position we actually have.

Hey Kastofsna, this is a bit OT, but I've gotta ask. How would you feel if the Dolphins picked up David Carr??

The Texans supposedly made a deal for Schaub because they were certain Brady Quinn wouldn't fall to 8.

A more accurate assessment, in my view ,would be that they traded for Schaub because they weren't certain Quinn would fall to 8.
A minor, but significant difference.

I'd laugh it if wasn't so sad...Overrated Levi to the eight and Atalnta...too funny. That would make #3 we let sail off into the sunset. Nice Mock...since we're one player away now that we have the franchise QB on board, and are going to the super bowl next year, might as well go whole haug there Kast and sitck Ginn jr. at the ten.

My God, you sound so pessimistic all the time. It makes me wonder if you're not one flat tire, or missed rerun of My Name is Earl away from deciding to just end it all.

Nope just three years of people looking into the china shop and not seeing the bull wrecking the merchandise. Wanna be blissfull running off the cliff fine by me there half full guy. I just see the deal for what it was. Panic. Watching another summer with 10-6 season record picks based on this move is not my idea of fun.
There may be some wrist slitting yet. Won't be because I went up and down like a blind dog in the meat house.

What about Syvelle Newton from South Carolina? He plays QB, RB, WR, FS. He is the versitile starter at anything that we need. He should be around 6th-7th round
