that's why i listen to matt and adam in the mornings. the only time 610's worth listening to is when kalu is on air.

All of the good on air personalities got out of 610 while the getting was good.

Do you know that Rich Lord doesn't even watch MNF. He TVO's it and watches it later. That's a real sports fan there and he gets paid to do a half a** job.

When has anybody broken a story at 610?
 
Houston Sports radio is in a big funk...period.

We should start a poll on who is Houston's worst personality. It will be close since Craig Roberts isn't on the air (Praise God) anymore.

Joe! I usually refrain from commenting on your post, but, if you really did send such an e-mail, it was a very classless thing to do. If you truly desire to be a top rep of Texan fans, then please stop doing this type of crap. NO ONE respects you for it!! I truly do not believe anyone within the Texans organization would want you to "stand up for my team" by sending out garbage e-mails like this. IF we were the toughest team in the NFL we would be celebrating a SB win today instead of the Saints!! THINK before you write! PLEASE!!

Yeah, Marc's head must be spinning right now. First, to have two respectable NFL men like Baldinger and King to tell him the Texans aren't that impressive, then to have the greatest football mind of our generation (Joe Texan) tell you how great they are... Man, he must not know what to think!

The problem is that if you identify yourself as #1 fan and you present yourself in a nasty way to the rest of the world, it reflects poorly on the fanbase. I'm a Longhorn alum, and I cringe when people calling as "Longhorn Scott" or whatever, call up and say silly or nasty things. Of course, you can call any sports radio program you want and defend the team--I'm just guessing most of Texan fans would prefer you do it without going a little over the top.

You could make the same point you wanted to make without, for example, using a derogatory name for Marc. So instead people focusing on the point you wanted to make--"hey, why don't you challenge these national guys," fans here are mostly focusing on the rude name you called Marc.

You can disagree with someone without being disagreeable. You call Second Honeymoon a troll, but when you say the nasty things you are saying, it takes away from your point and makes you look like you are a troll.

Basically, when you call someone a name, it reflects more on the person doing the name calling then it does on the person that is called the name. Whatever you think of Marc's opinions, I think it is pretty indisputable that he's a nice guy.

Joe, I know your heart is in the right place, but I have to say that the title of this thread sickens me. I know you are better than that. You want to rep the fans, and defend whatever honor you want to defend. Cool, I'm with you on that.

You're basically saying "screw anyone" who doesn't say positive things about the Texans no matter what the situation is with the team. And you're not the #1 fan either just so ya know. There is no #1 fan and there is no "worst fan" out there. If they are a fan, then they are a fan and they are entitled to think or judge a team however they want.

And as far as Houston radio hosts go, as a "Texans fan" I'd much rather listen to some guys that tell it like they see it and are objective and knowledgable about the team. If that means that they are critical about the Texans or any other Houston team than so be it. If the analysis is well informed and comes from someone who follows the team very closely, then I'd want to hear their honest thoughts instead of some cheerleading material just because they're in Houston.

Exactly, spending a fortune at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby for that hat doesn't make you #1 fan, nor does thinking you have prime parking or a DBag friend that gets mad cause people breathe wrong on his Winnebago...you are a mean ole bitterman and very classless. And you all let your children around this guy and his pinatas? Texans' fans as a majority are much more classier than than this because frankly the truth hurts sometimes but face the team cannot still get it right.

I agree with a lot of what you said but Joe's a passionate fan with a heart of gold for the kids. I share that same passion and am proud to have my kids swing at their pinatas. Blue crew has opened their arms unlike any i've known in the houston Texan nation.

I also got a response from some of you and I was able to determine which one of yous wears the skirts. NO NADA NO WAY This is fun for me and it thrills me to see the skirt wearers chime in like I got to be politically correct or something. Get real I played football and there is no room for being the woman stuck in a Mans Conversation.
