Just a friendly reminder why it is #5 in '06

really it won't be #5 because he can't have that number.

my money is on either 25, 35, 21, or 28

We've covered this ground befor. There are three camps in here. We're all entrenched in our fox holes. We got the RB/VY camps. We got the draft brick club. Since I'm a Carr fan I'm in that one. And we got the trade down and get the picks club. Now I'm not so in man love with brick that if someone comes up with a pair of ones and twos, I ain't coming out of it. I think the guy is the total package, great guy, great athlete. A lock in my book... I believe there are seven in this draft. And no matter how many videos you have of RB 's dazzeling runs, in my book...VY and RB ain't one of the locks. Superior athletes...yes. NFL Locks NO. We may take one of the two and I'll live with it and be a trooper if we do. And I ain't rewritting what I wrote befor..wanna know, einstien..look it up. Welcome to the party.

Not really, you have your opinion I have mine.I think with the OL we have now it is sufficent to get the job done. Now we add a WEAPON.

I don't come up with anything. What's the deal with the link?

Nevermind. I found it, but I've already seen that one. Anyway, I've been in the Reggie camp since day one. I keep on telling every one we need more weapons on offense cause AJ alone won't cut it.

Everything doesn't have to be fixed this year. But when you have the highest rated player to come out in years, you pick him. You fix the rest in the coming years.

I like Vince's highlight video better.

But beside that, I've already come to terms with the fact that we're likely to select Bush.

And that's why if we do draft your hero we'll be perpetually at 500. Our best lineman was drafted for a gaurd. Worked like hell, and made himself into an adaquate left tackle. But Cubes is an Offensive guy probablly get your wish.
Just seems really foolish to me that you have a francise left tackle available, after watching your franchise QB take a beating for four years, you wouldn't take the guy. But Hey that's just my opinion. Just don't pi$$ on my leg and tell me it's raining. Your next problem will now be AJ and Dante. Both are premiere players who can play for anyone and who'll be trappeded on a mediocre team. What do you think 's gonna happen ? They're gonna bolt. Gale Sayers was a great player. Freeman McNeil ( pick your icon)...neither didn't get no rings though. They'll sell a lot of jerseys. You're weapon at best, if you want him to last till the NFL average, will be twenty touches or so per game. His frame will not take the beating at more than that. You're paying a lot for a five hundred record and a lot of pretty. But that's just me.

I'm in both the Bush or trade down groups. I think DD has maxed out the potential he has, and he is mediocre at best. I think Carr still has Pro Bowl potential, but may still be a flop. With that in mind, I am not yet ready to cash in his chips.

A big problem with our offense in past seasons is teams would sit back in a cover two and play the pass, daring DD to beat them. DD got good production but he wasn't enough of a threat to cause the defense to seriously play the run, making it more difficult on Carr. With Bush in the backfield, I expect to see opposing defenses sit their safeties closer to the line more often and watch for our homerun threat, opening up the play action pass as well as the passing game in general. Bush has the potential to make our offense better in almost every facet, IMO.

I'd be most pleased with Bush, but I'd honestly be really happy with Young also, or a trade down scenario involving Mario Williams, Ferguson, or Vernon Davis.

He is still a great 3rd down back as he will be in the NFL.

Okay, I've just left the trade down camp... I would still prefer a trade down but I'll be okay with Bush now. Free agency has been great at filling needs. Now, if this staff believes an explosive but undersized RB is worth that amount of money and that high a draft pick, I'll trust they have a plan to use him well.

Hero ...... NO Best for team .....YES,you are talking about the OL,OK just food for thought glance at the OL in Denver under Kubes direction and tell me how many 1st rounders there are and how many are Pro Bowlers, then look at the later rounders and same objective. HMMMM interesting is it not. Good coaching and good FA signings will make this line better. I still think we get OL in draft just not 1st rd.I like Bush over VY because of versatility. I think VY is great, just not for us at this point. Let Tenn. draft him sign a 3-4 yr. deal. Let them teach him how the NFL is and aquire him in a trade 3-4 years from now.

I'm going to be so nervous all the way up to draft day. I just don't want us to pass on Bush. I'm trying not to get my hopes up in case we do something else.

im a former d'bricker but know am almost certain we'll take bush and im pleased enough due to our FA moves- we can now have our choice of linemen @ #33 or #65- winston, any of the G etc. as muck as i like D'brick i think with reggie and some o-line plus the other off-season moves, we can get close to .500 this year- and then if still necessary draft 1st round linemen next year when we wont have a chance at the premier playmakers

Greetings kind sir.....

Why don't you take those same 5 minutes and run........ not walk, on down to your local BEST BUY and purchase the 2005-06 ROSE BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP DVD!

.......aquire yourself a bit of popcorn while you are at it.......for this will certainly last a bit longer than 5 minutes.........nevertheless, when all is said and done, and the very last ESPN commentator's look of ABSOLUTE SHOCK has been framed.........you may then somehow come to realize that not everyone is under the mindset that the TEXANS are taking rb with the first pick in the 2006 DRAFT.

.....and if you should STILL find yourself asking WHY? Well, this one's pretty easy.......JUST WATCH THE DAMN DVD AGAIN!

YAWN... That's one game...

If ONE game (and yes I know VY had more than one game - but the Rose Bowl is all the VYlovers seem to be pointing to) makes a pro, then the league would be filled with one-hit wonders...
