Juniors declaring for the 2016 NFL Draft

Joe Schad ‏@schadjoe 1m1 minute ago

FSU’s Jalen Ramsey officially declares for the NFL Draft

(Could be a Top 5 pick)

I think he should probably play safety at the next level, or slot corner early on. He's dangerous as a blitzer in the slot and his range is ridiculous. He can play boundary corner but my question would be why would you want to do that when he has the talent to be a top level safety that can wreck a gameplan? He was more impactful as a safety in 2014, as opposed to corner in 2015.

Vonn Bell becomes the 9th Ohio State Buckeye to declare early for the draft. Insane exodus for one class.

Cardale Jones - QB
Ezekiel Elliott - RB
Michael Thomas - WR
Jalin Marshall - WR/KR
Joey Bosa - DE
Darron Lee - LB
Eli Apple - CB
Vonn Bell - S
Tyvis Powell - S

Get while the gettin' is good...

Does anybody know if this guy can play?

He picked a good yr to come out. I cant remember a weaker TE group.

He's inconsistent. Played a Y-TE role for NC State this year and their Flex TE took on the majority of the passing game responsibility. Has interesting measureables though. Curious to see how he tests.

Jack Conklin - OT, Michigan State
This 22 YOA (Aug 2016) red shirt junior intrigues me as an OT who could remain there without being moved inside. His left knee injury should not be troubling going forward from what I can find out. He has started 37 of 38 games, 34 on left and three on right. I have him off board by our pick but if Houston selects him I'd be happy.

Rashard Robinson - CB, LSU

Intriguing prospect. 6'3 corner that shut down Mike Evans as a freshman but spent the last 2 years ineligible for off the field stuff.

I agree. I said it on another board a few weeks back. I am all over the Conklin train. Once Brown got hurt he sealed it for me. Conklin to LT and Brown to RT if he has trouble coming back.

Unfortunately, I think Conklin is a RT only at the pro level. He just doesn't quite have the feet or the lateral movement to handle the speed rushers he would see on the left side. Everybody is projecting him really high right now but once we get through the combine drills and testing people will start to see what I see on tape.

I do think he will be a very good player though.

Jaylon Smith - LB, Notre Dame

I had him pegged as a top 3 talent in this draft and a top 10 lock before his knee injury. Now that he's suffered a serious injury and will miss Combine and Pro Day because of rehab there is really no way to know where he will get drafted. His film is outstanding but it's hard to draft an injured guy without seeing him play or workout after the injury.

Travis Blanks - LB, Clemson

This is a mistake. He should have returned for his last year. Explosive athlete and very highly rated recruit who was a freshman all-american but has been injured for the majority of his college career since. This decision screams of a kid (or his network) having made this decision 3 years ago. He might not even get drafted.

Jayron Kearse - S, Clemson

Everyone knew he would choose to go pro but he did not help himself in the game against Alabama.

T.J. Green - S, Clemson

Not sure I like this decision for him after he was responsible for leaving OJ Howard blatantly open on two huge plays that helped Alabama win the national title game.

Willie Henry - DL, Michigan

Not sure how I feel about him leaving. He really broke out over the last season and a half but I still only see him as a 4th rounder at this point because this class is so deep with interior DL. He could have made a big jump next year but he also comes from a poor area in Glenville so it's not surprising to see him jump early for the money.

I really like Collins. I would rather draft him in the second than elliot in the first.
Yes sir and that's what I have done. He is a very good RB that could spell Foster at minimum and replace quickly if needed.

I like Collins as well although I think Elliott is easily the superior player. However, RB is a position where a good player can make a big difference. He doesn't have to be elite. Being able to snag a good RB in the 2nd gives you the option of acquiring an elite player in round 1 at a tougher position to address so I see the upside of picking a guy like Collins over Elliott.

I would rather beef up the ol early and grab a qb and go after someone like Paul Perkins UCLA RB in the third.
