What can y'all tell me about Peyton Barber/Nick Vigil/Rashard Robinson?
Peyton Barber
Redshirt sophomore. Auburn's leading rusher this year but started season 3rd string and only got action because of injuries to top 2 guys. Averaged 4.3 ypc this year while the other two guys averaged 5.5 and 6.1 despite injuries. Was 4th string as a redshirt freshman last year and only got 10 carries on the season. To be honest, the tape does not support his decision. He was noticeably less effective than Auburn's other RB's this year but they rode him because of other RB injuries and severe ineffectiveness from their QB's. Seems like he made this decision 3 years ago to be honest. He has nice size at 5-11, 225 but limited burst and wiggle. Doesn't push the pile much either. I don't get it.
Nick Vigil
Younger brother of Zach Vigil, who was an undrafted rookie for the Dolphins this year (and also played at Utah State). Had 144 tackles this year. Both Vigil brothers had 138 tackles last year. Has a much better chance to get drafted (probably 4th/5th round) because he flashes on tape way more than Zach did. All around skill set. Can play the run, defend the pass, and is a productive blitzer. Played on something crazy like 98% of USU's defensive snaps this year. Not an awesome athlete but probably a better athlete than his brother (who was basically average athlete for the position). Main issue will be just how athletic he is.
Rashard Robinson
Enrollment at LSU was delayed due to clearinghouse issues (typically grades or SAT related). Rotation CB at LSU as a freshman and split starting time with Jalen Collins as a sophomore. Kicked off team last year for violating team rules and missed junior year. Stayed at LSU to gain re-in-statement for senior year but was apparently denied and entered draft instead of transferring. He played well against Mike Evans as a freshman but has extremely limited college experience and pretty obvious red flags. Has awesome measureables at 6-3, 180 with great length and speed. Physically, he's a modern NFL CB. Everything else, no damn clue. Should have transferred down and played at McNeese or something this year in order to get tape out. I bet someone takes a shot because of the measureables but won't be shocked if he goes undrafted.
