yeah that is a stupid question when bush can't turn the corner on a good college defense. stupid that the texans would waste a draft pick on somebody like that. thank you for pointing that out.

worse that somebody would defend it.

How about letting up on the insults and reading the post for its intent--can the #1 pick team conduct contract negotiations before the draft? It isn't a stupid question and the answer is unlike the other teams, yes.

hey man, bamboo

i'm with you all the way on vince, but no reason to bring bush down, hes a special player in his own right. saying the texas defense stopped him and some of the stuff you are spewing is nonsense, he had like 8.5 ypc that game, the texas defense didnt stop him or lendale white or matt leinart or anyone on USC until that final 4th and 1 play.

sounds alright i guess except that Abraham got traded to San Diego and it sounds like that is a stape of this deal and throws it off a bit. but other wise well thought out and somewhat tempting.
WHAT!!!!!??????

When did Abraham get traded? Where was I?

when a team that goes 2-14 passes on a qb that was 30-2 because you think i sholdn't worry, tells me you don't like winning. we have a chance to draft a qb that will set this city on fire and make our team a WINNER.

Well then why would we pass up someone who went 37-2 over someone who went 30-2?

Because Vince will touch the ball every single play. Reggie Bush will touch the ball 15-20 times a game. He is not an impact player, nor will he ever be.

Vince Young is going to revolutionize the NFL. And if the Texans don't pick him, they will be playing in Los Angeles within the next ten years. The backlash of having Vince Young come into Reliant and kick the Texans' teeth in will be that bad.

Have fun.

I hope you have extra remotes and a screen protector on your tv cuz if they keep losing............

I'll be in Reliant for the homes game and sitting in my recliner for the away games ..... win or lose my remote throwing days are long past ...

Who is she? I love Latino women.

If I'm not mistaken (and I'm not) she isn't Latino she is Indian. Her name is Aishwarya Rai, you can check her out on imdb.com. She's a Bollywood actress.

JUstice has said that John McLain should be inducted in the NFL and MLB halls of fame. John is happily married and is very good at his job. He was a NFL beat guy for the chronicle which is why he spoke of the teetons and Cowgirls. He is now the Texans Beat Writer and is everywhere the Texans are. He was at the airport when they picked up Kubiak. You can crack jokes about the Brokeback scene, thats just showing you are down with that. I have never seen a gay redneck, a cowboy is a redneck so I doubt there are any gay cowboys unless you check the Dallas Locker room. I really could care less about your jokes but I do know first hand that John McLain is a stand up decent human being who is dedicated to his job and puts out better stuff than any other sports writer in the Houston area.

A theroy of mine.

Vince hires an agent and tells him he wants to be a Houston Texan. If he can make that happen he will give the agent a little extra from the thirty five million signing bonus he would get as the overall number one. If young gets drafted #1 his agent stands to make millions off of his comission's. The agent then goes to the local media to convince them to start writting positive articals and riveting material on how Vince is a can't miss. Giving the contributing sports writters a kick back if they could help this poor kid full fill his dream of playing for his home town.(Lets just say 500k a piece) Justice and McClain would then use there talk shows and articals, knowing the pen is mightier than the sword, and convince all the home towners he is the footballs version of Jordan.(Even though they spent the last six months saying that about Reggie.)

That being said, I do think they Texans will draft Young. Then trade him to the Jets. I know what you are saying, thats crazy! However if the Texans are thinking of trading down, but are concerned about VY playing for your division fo, wouldnt the smart money be taking control of the situation and trading him to a team you wouldnt mind him playing for? Yes Bush would then go to the Tittans but a RB life span is only about 5-6 years then the talent starts to drop off, as apposed to a QB who's lifespan is 10-15 years. I do think if we trade with the Jets we get there #4, Abraham, and this years second. We then turn around and draft williams. That would be an impressive front four, Abraham, Johnson, Smith, Williams. Should be, three of four would be first round picks. Not to mention having the first and fourth pick in the second where we could get a TE and OL.

Thats just my wackey theroy.

Interesting theory, but passionate fans can blindly pull for a guy w/o committing felonies in the process. Would make for a great story, but I'm going to have to pass on the conspiracy theory in this case.

As far as his personal life, no comment, cause I have no idea. As far as his writing/analysis, I think it flat out sucks. But I have heard that McClain is fairly respected in league circles ... not sure if it's true, but the guy has earned his chops somehow.

What are you, trying to make a factual point? Vince has "it," no two ways about it. I would keep going but at the risk of being sacreligious I think it's fair to stop now.

HOW DID YOU DO THAT? HILARIOUS. AND NOT A FOOTBALL IN SIGHT. YOU HAVE TO SEND THAT TO 610 GUYS GRANADO & ZERLINE.

Johnny Utah said:
LOL. What did he say?

He said he saw it and had a good laugh about it. He said he didn't realize that was VY also in that pic and they replied with "cause you never saw him from the front".

(So, McClain tossed up and easy lob and they knocked it out of the park.) John took it in good stride though.
