The Thorpe Award preseason Watch List was determined on a point system based on preseason All-America teams. Other players were added to the list based on their performance during the season.
Of this year’s semi-finalists, Trey Brown, Vontae Davis, Mike Jenkins, James Silva, Craig Steltz and Julius Stinson were not on the preseason Thorpe Watch List.

Talib is a JR, and he didn't have a great game against Purify from Nebraska. This week will be a nice test for him against Bowman of OSU. It will be on national television. 7pm on ABC. Look for me (I will be decked out in blue gear, holding some clever sign referencing ABC. O yeah, and I'll be right in the heart of the OSU student section!

Dude, don't get jumped. Watch yourself. I've seen a Miami fan beaten to a pulp by multiple people both years I have gone to the game just because he was wearing a Miami shirt in the FSU student section. Then the cops come and kick the Miami guy out of the stadium, nothing done to the FSU students. I am not exaggerating at all.
 
He's on the list. The most impressive DB I've seen the past two years has been Vontae Davis. He was arguably the best CB in the Big Ten last year as a true freshman.

I'm not going to get jumped hopefully. A couple of people I know from growing up were arrested last weekend at OSU for getting into fights for being UT fans. Thankfully, I'm going to be sitting next to my best friend who goes to OSU, so I doubt I will get too much, but I'm not going to insinuate a fight in the middle of their student section.

Well all of the guys who've played themelves onto the list I'm interested in. That was the point I tried to make.

I was poking fun at kastofnsa YTF. I really don't have a dog in this fight. Anything that helps the Texans is ok by me. What I saw of the other Jenkins, the S.Fla guy, the other night, he fits me to a tee. Big for a CB. rangey, ball hawk and athletic enought to get around an end and block a feild goal. All of those thingys are good in my book. He may not be the name brand Jenkins but he works.
