Do the Jets not remember that when Casserly was the GM here that Bob McNair had to hire Dan Reeves as a consultant because Casserly had no idea what he was doing? I find it funny that now Casserly is being hired as a consultant to do the exact thing that Reeves was hired to do here.

Why would you hire a guy to be a consultant that needed a consultant himself?

Casserly supposedly going to hire Ron Wolf as a consultant, and so it goes around again.

And then there's this...

Jets are going to hire Charlie Casserly to help them find a new coach and GM,

But they're waiting until they fire their current GM/Head Coach before officially hiring Charlie,

That way the inquiries he is making right now around the league won't be considered tampering. Officially.

....McNair said Casserly was not fired. He said he had no replacement candidates in mind.

"I have talked to no one. I have no list," McNair said.

Candidates for the opening in Houston are expected to include former Atlanta Falcons personnel chief Ron Hill and current Denver Broncos director of pro scouting Rick Smith.
