Jerome Mathis on sidelines after Brown missed kick

None of these guys are above criticism.

You are absolutely correct but that's not the point.

Well as I stated last week before the game, a good source told me that mr. mathis tends to enjoy the benefits of being in the nfl more than the nfl itself. I stated that he is one to go out every night of the week and have a bit too much fun, and also that he didnt care about becoming a receiver because he only wanted to return kicks.

Remember when Barkley played for the Rockets, you would see him out and about? Well, that was a well known FACT.

Stating a "good source" has knowledge of late night partying, on a daily basis, by Mathis is nothing more than gossip and sould be saved for the tabloids.

well i guess i should apologize for not releasing my source but there is no need to bring up someone else for discussion. I assume that means my comments can not be counted as credible to others and I understand that. But on the other hand I would get nothing out of making this up nor would the person who told me. I will say that the source is from inside the texans organization. I believe what I was told and i think it shows on the field if you pay attention to some fundamentals or lack there of. I also want to point out that I believe Mathis is trying his best on the field during the games and he is trying to win. THere is no doubt he is a stud returner and I take no credit from that. But I also believe that by the time you get to the NFL you should be able to catch if you are a WR.

Cinci I am not going to say why I dont agree with you, but know that your source should not be said on the MB cause I would have to have a talk with them, but I am pretty sure I could guess from who you got the info from. Mathis is one of the most dedicated rookies and players on our team, and I will attest to that. The kid knows his shortcomings and works hard to overcome them. Also in practice he does nothing but embarass people with his catches. He does need more PT at WR and hopefully he will get it.

There is a reason why we got him in the 4th round. Mathis is a project player, who could possibly turn into a steal if he's developed right. Heck with his return skills and tds on special teams he's already a steal. If he had great hands and ran nfl caliber routes he would of been a 1st or second round pick, relax he's a rookie, project receiver

i'm sure he was laughing because of how "magically" been losing games lately,,,,run back,,penalty,,,no time left,,,,,kick,,,,,shanked FG !!! i mean it is kinda ironic
