Jeff Allen OG agrees 4 years 28 million

What's this creepiness going on with several people posting the exact same answer to a question? It's like Texans communist radio was just turned on or someome just Jedi mind tricked several people on the board. This is not the Wade you are looking for.....

It's called humor. Wade was a solid addition for us and solidified probably our best OL group to date

Wade Smith was solid for us and solidified probably our best OL group to date? For one year he was pretty good. Wouldn't you like better?

I asked a few Chiefs fans to tell me more about him on their unofficial fan forum. All I heard were positives: Great glue guy on the O-Line. They felt he was the team captain of that offensive line because of his communication. He could be heard shouting out to his teammates if they weren't lined up properly.

Tremendous leader on the field and in the locker room. They hated to see him go. The only negative said about him from people who watched him play was the fact he had some lingering injuries. If he stays healthy I expect him to start at Right Guard for the Houston Texans in 2016.

In that video I posted you can see his passion for the game in a post-game interview. He's all about the team and a very selfless and inspiring young man.

Great signing for the Texans: This kid has a heart of gold. He can inspire our entire offensive line to become a good unit. And that's true, an offensive line can become great if all five guys play as one. And he says that himself, something along those lines, in the video I posted.

Call me a homer but I feel less stressed about our O-Line as others do. That being said, we'll draft a few O-Lineman and improve our depth as well. I still think we already have our starting center and right guard with these recent free agent signings.

A homer? You're like the homer of all homers and sometimes I wish I could be more like you. Maybe I just have learned thru the yrs of watching houston sports not to set myself up for disappointment.

BTW, I think Allen is an upgrade over Brooks. Brooks is more talented but he doesn't and never will have the mean streak Allen has. I believe OL are either born with that mean streak or they're not. Allen will help with a major weakness on last yrs team, the abilty to convert 3rd/4th and short situations.

Allen sounds like a talented offensive lineman who's also a solid teammate and at 26 he should be in his prime years, but there's a big liability
with all of those pluses - he's missed quite a bit of time because of injuries while in KC.

I used to play Right Tackle at Sam Houston State and also at Elsik High School in Alief. If I still played I would love to play right next to a guy like Jeff Allen. Those are the type of players I would enjoy going to battle with.

This may have only been the third best player we signed in free agency, but at some point during the 2016 season we may be talking about how invaluable he is to our offensive line.

What year did you play at Elsik?

I'm a little disappointed with the analysis in this thread. In my opinion, Wade was a solid addition for us and solidified probably our best OL group to date.
