The 49ers just cut Hayne, with Foster going down I would bring him in for the rest of the season to let him learn the offense and the speed of the NFL.

A true diamond in the rough Hayne would immediately become the most dynamic RB on the team. This makes too much sense which means that Smith will never make a move like this.

I'd bring him in. Granted, I haven't watched much from the 49'ers, but the little I've seen the kid has that proverbial 'IT'. Since we're already a mess, I'd go straight into left field and see what Hayne and Charles James can do with the rock.

Blue's obviously not a feature back, and Polk is someone O'Brien saw run for 60 yards in a game once. We need SOMEBODY back there that can make some waves.

Edit: any reason given for his release? Obviously he's going to take some time to learn and adjust to the NFL, were the 49'ers not willing to wait?

Does he have practice squad eligibility? If not, I don't see how bringing in a rube will do anything but get the QB killed.

On second thought, let's sign Hayne and put him in the starting backfield. :spot:

Yes he's PS eligible

Former rugby player with limited football experience. Not a chance he can pick up this complicated offensive scheme in a few weeks. Hell our current players have been with the team for over a year and they still have no clue what they're doing. :kitten:
