From an evaluation standpoint, I actually thought this was the best Winston has looked in quite some time.
He's had better games statistically, but most of his numbers tend to come off of chunk plays by wide open receivers.
This was the first game where the opponent was able to take away Greene and O'Leary, forcing Winston to actually have to go through progressions in the offense. He threw the one INT but it wasn't his fault. The only real negative play he had the entire game was the fumble.
His #1 reads only accounted for 7 catches and 63 yards. Contrast that with his RBs, who accounted for 9 catches and 95 yards. He spread the ball to eight different receivers.
Despite getting walloped, I actually come away from this game feeling a little better about Winston than I did before. My big issues for him are:
1) I don't know about his ability to go through progressions, because he is never really forced to. - He did a really good job in this game of going from #1 to #2 to #3.
2) He isn't consistently precise or accurate. - This was the first game in a while where he was forced to thread the needle consistently and I thought he did very well. He made a lot of NFL throws in that game, more than I've ever seen him forced to make.
3) He makes bad decisions under pressure or when his #1 receiver isn't open. - He made a lot of throws to his #2 read, and when neither #1 or #2 was open he dumped the ball to his RB instead of forcing it into coverage, which is what he typically does.
