Jags dirty play

Darius got hit pretty hard with a $75,000 fine:

NEW YORK (AP) -- Jacksonville safety Donovin Darius was fined $75,000 by the NFL on Tuesday for a hit across the neck of Green Bay's Robert Ferguson that left the wide receiver temporarily paralyzed.

Darius, who was ejected from the game, wasn't suspended because league disciplinarian Gene Washington noted that this was the first time he had been disciplined for a violation.

They removed my posts from their board. I hope everyone kicks the Jags @ss!
Beat 'em up like you did last time. There's gonna be no playoff hopes for those
losers. To hell with Jacksonville, they suck. Time to find a new team.

To my knowledge yes. From what I saw, he deserved a long suspension without pay. Just like we saw in basketball, we need to slap the **** out of these guys when they get out of line.. Shame it had to come to the brawl it came to for this to be implimented, but I think the rest of the sporting world needs to realize, a $75,000 fine may hurt you and I, but that is toilet paper to these wealthy athletes.

Is that the largest fine in nfl history?

No, on Sportscenter they listed some other large fines. One guy was fined one game check which was over $100k--can't remember his name.

Darius Fined 75,000 dollars , why that's less than he spends at the Kit Kat Club, allegedly!
Darn we need a pole dancing smiley!

the funny thing about all of this has been that for the years that darius has been in the league he is a really well respected guy who is known for hard hits not cheap shots...although i must say he might be buying into what del rio has been selling these past two years which would be a sad thing for a man whose whole career has been a good one...the jags have gotten what they wanted a guy who will allow anything to go on in his organization...it's just sad to me because a guy was seriously hurt and the majority of the jag fans have yet to realize the thing that most of the football world has...i dunno the whole thing is weird to me...as the one jag fan posted he hopes one of his defensive players hurts carr in some way...i think that starts to show the mentality of the people who cheer for a team like this...it's sick

You people are bunch of whining babies. Why are you worried about a game that had no affect to the Texans(Scared of Darius ripping your receivers in half)? I will be at the game this Sunday as I am every home game cheering for the Jags defense to dismantle Carrs pretty boy band looking face. We will destroy the Texans on our way to the Playoffs. Too bad you guys are about 9 years away from being a playoff contender! :BananaWav

We are worried because other than just football fans we are human beings. When paralyzing injury becomes "part of the game" we are worried that the NFL will cease to exist as we know it. There is nothing manly about taking a recievers head off while he is concentrating on a football. Now, of course this is in most cities and states, perhaps Jvilles idea of professional football resembles more of a WWF style of play. This of course wouldnt suprise me given the mentallity of most Jville fans but might we suggest reforming the XFL and making the Jags charter members.

I'll agree that the hit was illegal and unnecessary, however I truly don't believe he Darius was trying to hurt him. If he wanted to hurt him i'm pretty sure he would go helmet to helmet and not just try to hit him with his arm. I really hope all of ya'll aren't hoping for the Texans to intentionally try and injure players just because one bad play last week. I'm hoping for a good hard fought game with no cheap shots from either team and a Jags win of course.

Dude you make me laugh! And did you make a mistake by putting your IQ where it asked for your age?
The Jags are over for the year. Face it! :thud: DD clotheslining (and it was, no matter what your jaded mind thinks) shows how desparate they are to try and salvage a season. Too bad that one selfish Jr.High thinking player's actions like DD lowers the image of the Jags. Show some class and shut your grass-hole. :loser Say what you want about our Pretty boy Carr and our team, but the rest of the world who doesn't have their head covered in Jag-poop from it being so far up the kitty-poop-shoot knows better.

WANTED! 6 TONS OF KITTY LITTER TO HANDLE ALL OF THE DROPPINGS SQUEEZED OUT OF THE JAGS THIS WEEK.
FACE IT JUNIOR.....IT'S OVER FOR THE JAGS! TOO BAD THE SEASON ENDS WITH SUCH A CLASSLESS ACT SUCH AS DARI-ASSSSS.
Oh, Merry Christmas from the "REAL WORLD".

Look man, every quarterback cant look as good as Gary Coleman, I mean Byron Leftwich, I mean Fat Albert

Jaguar hunting season starts and ends sunday
