Jags Deceptive about Injuries

stephen1 said:
only two of those are problems that will affect next seasons outcome, the injuries to taylor and jones. everything else has to do with the organization. im not counting the fat qb one because regardless of his weight he can play ball

That seems to be the only thing they can insult him on. The fat jokes are something I am pretty much accustomed to. Their QB is a pretty boy who has to flash his hair after every play. Peyton Manning is a cry baby with a big noggin and Steve McNair is a drunk whose skills are weakening each year.

Oh, my bad. He's also a Super Sized French Fry Killer when he plays us in games that count when the playoffs could be on the line @ home. Zero points? Maybe he was trying to tell us how many lbs. he lost. Maybe he was telling us how many times he walked to Subway instead of drove. Maybe he was telling us how many times he beat the Texans when Pretty Boy Carr (a.k.a. :sumo: Killer) was in the game. :jam:

Byron was knocked out of both games against Houston. Although in one of the games I believe he was only out for a few plays at most. In the other game he had the ligament injury.

Didn't their FO try to cover that up too????

I guess you could say that. I think they originally called it a strain, and it turned out to be a slight tear or something along those lines. I also seem to recall him injurying two ligaments including his PCL. At any rate he was out for 3 wks I believe, and missed two games.

That game, BL was out for I want to say 2 plays, at the most and played the rest of the game with a concussion. He's fat, oh well, at least the kid has heart. REAL football fans know that is key.

Jags Minister of Injury Information
:ouch:

I don't think anyone is denying he has heart. So does David, but since its the offseason we all have to pick on opposing QBs in some manner. David gets the pretty boy jokes, and Byron earns the fat jokes. Then Manning gets the bobble head jokes. Once the season gets underway we can go back to seeing the guys fight it out on the field.

Our QB wears sweats and a beater, yours flashes his long lustrous locks on the sideline inbetween throwing picks and throwing tantrums.

PS I like how you stayed away from the "never has a winning season" and "throws more picks than TDs" parts of my post. :)

Lol all of that, and our QB is the one that's 2-1 vs Manning, while yours is what, 0-5? 0-6?

I hate to use this again, but which Qb came into a franchise team and which came into an established one? And if we want to bring up records, lets bring up Leftys record vs us.

Obviously you don't hate to bring it up if you just did...Lefty's team wasn't exactly a "good" team when he arrived either...And IMO, Lefty (and the Jags of course) will beat the Texans in at least 1 (possibly sweep) game this season...

A split this season I could possibly agree with, but for you to sweep us? Pardon me...(hahahahahahahahahahahahaha). OK, I can go on now.

I would like to know how you feel that this will be accomplished, taking into consideration the history of play between both teams and the changes to both rosters. Check Homer at the door before you answer.

Well, pardon me for having faith in my team...History is the past...Why even show up if we are going to lose? Why don't you e-mail the Texans organization and tell them not to bother playing the Colts because we (the Texans) are going to lose. Is that your mentality? A sweep is possible, but it could happen...If I were you, I would not think that the Jags sweeping the Texans is like Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson...It is not a longshot.

BTW, I am not saying that the Jags are going to sweep the Texans...I said a sweep is possible.

I will see you all November 6, and Christmas Eve...Good Luck

Ya your right, I dont hate to bring that up because its a valid point. It'll be a miracle if the Jags sweep the Texans. I still don't see how the Jags improved so greatly either. Matt Jones was the one real pick up that sticks out and hes going to play a positon he didnt play in college and has already been hurt. They are a strong team but not a dominate one.

Who's bringin' Manning in this, or why. It's a debate about the 2 guys. That's like saying "Oh yea, you don't believe I can't kick your butt? Well then go ask that guy down the street I kicked his butt" Who cares?
You finished with two more wins than us - If you would've beat us both the times we played instead of us beating you....you would've been in the playoffs, no questions asked. Let that sink in.
You guys beat the Colts once. So, we beat the Panthers the previous season and the SuperBowl winning Pats had to take us to OT to win in that same season. Big deal.

So ya beat Manning, we'd like to do it too but let's compare apples to apples. Oh wait, don't say apples too loud, Leftwich might hear and pull a Dee-Bo on us and jack 'em. Shhhhhh!!!!!

No need to get your tighty whities in a wad. I asked you a legit question and you still didn't answer it. All I got was a tirade of BS. You made a statement, all I asked was for an explanation as to why you came to this conclusion. Answer the question and I will respond. But keep the 'tude to yourself. We are not at the litterbox now.
Why must the Colts be in a conversation about the Texans and Jags? It is not an AFC South thread. Stay on topic, please.

IMO, Lefty (and the Jags of course) will beat the Texans in at least 1 (possibly sweep) game this season...(your statement in question).

LOL...tude? Is that what you call it? OK, sure thing...Tighty whities in a wad? Thats cute. Anyways...

To your question...

A) The history of the teams play is the past...I think that I established that in my last post of so called "bs".

B) We added Hayward to give a boost to our already exciting D-Line. We added a couple linebackers, and our young WR's are now more experienced. Leftwich is entering his third season, and he is excelling in the offseason (no, he is not putting on more weight -- saw him the other day, and he looks good). Our new OC will exploit Byron's abilities to throw down field more, which will open up the running game more -- which brings us to Fred Taylor. He is expected to start by September 11th, but who knows. We could pick up either Travis Henry or Shaun Alexander. Dunno to this point...

Again, I will say good luck to the Texans when we play them, because the games are bound to be good ones...It will not be a walk in the park for either team...

I don't think anyone can argue the texans don't own us. It's plain to see.

However, my point is that does you nothing if you can't play the rest of the league well. Vs. the rest of the league you were 5-9, we were 9-5. Clinging to your 2 wins vs us per year is not going to get you in the playoffs. Our QB has beaten the Mannings and Favres, yours has yet to.

All kidding aside, you guys had a better record than we did, therefore the national media will natuarally think and predict ya'll to be better than us this year, regardless of our head to head. Trust me, I'd go 14-2 with the 2 losses being to you guys any season, just as long as you guys don't go 13-3 and knock us out of the playoffs like the former "spoilers" did you guys in '99/'00. I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself, I was titan fan back then.

But you see, that right there will tell ya that any thing can happen in any given season. The previous season the rams and oilers/titans were both hovering around the 8-8 range. Then they busted on the scene .

Speaking of the colts, we get them after they play Monday nighters both times so this is our year to get one of the two, if not both given they're the team that was a power-house one season, then the doll-house the next. It seems to happen every year. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of our teams.
