Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans. 11/24. Noon. CBS. **Official Game Thread**

Keenum is absolutely lost at the line of scrimmage. It was obvious that they were bringing more guys than you could block and he just stands in the pocket for 3 seconds. Get rid of the damn ball!

keenum didnt even see the blitz, thats on him, he needs to call it out and make a quick throw......pathetic first half

Funny how Randy Bullock can make field goals when the pressure isn't amped up. Down 10-0 to the lowly Jaguars and he drills it. And the CBS camera goes to Bob McNair who is clapping. Jeez. LOL

If I wasn't a born and raised Houstonian I wouldn't be a Texans fan. That goes for other sports as well.

Never understood the whole "birthplace determine your sports affiliations" thing. I was born and raised in Fresno so I was in the Bay Area sports market and I don't root for any of those teams. My teams are in Phoenix, Houston, Atlanta, and Buffalo. I mean, I get why---media coverage and all is the best for the teams who are in your city, sense of community, etc. It's just that if a team from my city is filled with thugs, or a boring style of play, or what-have-you, why should I root for them just because they're from my city?

Bridgewater is probably on par with Matt Ryan, but with better intangibles and much more mobile. I compare him to Ryan because in that draft you had a great OT go #1 (Jake Long), a stud DE go #2 (Chris Long), and then Ryan went #3. That reminds me of this year's draft somewhat with Matthews and Clowney. QB is even more of a premium position now though, thus Bridgewater likely being the #1 pick. He is not a Luck/Manning, but he definitely has a chance to be a franchise guy.

He makes the players around him better and has succeeded against more talented teams despite being surrounded by inferior talent. He absolutely ripped apart a great Florida defense in the Sugar Bowl last year. And yes, he is clearly the best QB this year. He's a tier-1 guy while guys like Mariotta, Hundley, and Manziel are tier-2 and will be drafted high because they have tons of potential, but you just don't know how they project to the NFL. Guys like McCarron, Mettenberger, and Murray are tier-3 and probably go late-1st or in the 2nd round.

Thanks, I don't follow college ball much during NFL season. Always go heavy into NFL prospects in Draft season.

88 total yards in the first half...

They can't really do worse than that in the second half can they? I'm scared to watch.

It's called having pride in where you are from. Can't blame you, nothing to be proud about in being from California.

The thing that gets me, on the drive where we ran the ball very well we didnt bother to run any play action, on drives where we cant run we use it every other play.....

you are not really making excuses for Kubiak are you?
Nope. I want a complete change. I just feel that Rick Smith should be the first one to go when in fact he'll probably luck out and still be around when the new coaching staff is here.

Another problem is Bob McNair was just seen clapping and looking somewhat encouraged by the CBS camera. I'm not sure there is another owner in the NFL who would be clapping as his team is going to halftime trailing the Jaguars by a score of 10-3.

Kubiak looked totally lost in the booth.

He clearly has no answers, which has been obvious for weeks now.

Part of me feels bad for him because I truly do respect him as a man.

But my football side tells him to GTFO because he's done a truly horrendous job as HC.

Good point. And now I live in LA, and I hate this city, its people and its sports teams like I hate Democrats and pickles so...yeah. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Understood. What can I say? I love my hometown and am thankful that it's Houston. I love all things Houston. My bad, I guess. :)

I now have much respect for you, knowing you live in LA with all the idiot liberal democrats. Know wonder you come off cynical and pissed off on here sometimes. You live in the land of fruits and nuts.

Fruits and nuts are good, Democrats not so much. LOL

I'm from Michigan, and am not a Lions fan. I'm a big Texans fan, however. The Lions were terrible when I was growing up, and I never bonded with that team. Not about to bandwagon.

Also, Texas is a hideously ugly state, and California is beautiful. Just saying.

LA is awesome and the people there. Yall are crazy.

No, no it's not. No, no they're not.

And Sparty, all the "natural beauty" in the world couldn't change the fact that California is a cesspool of epic proportions in literally every other way.

....but eh, this isn't the thread for this.
