I'm sorry, but the playcalling was pretty demoralizing today. And I'm not sure who should be more embarrassed: Carr or that Oline. I have never seen playcalling like what we had tonight. And I mean NEVER. Even when Carr was getting sacked left and right as a rookie, we still just let Carr play instead of calling this short, pitter-patter excuse for a passing game. The way Pendry called the game, it was like he had absolutely no faith in Carr or that Oline. NONE.
To make Carr throw only short, easy out routes all day long has just gotta be a slap in the face. It just shows his lack of trust in Carr and the Oline. I know you're trying to protect Carr, but this is a little extreme isn't it? At some point, you've just got to let him play! Didn't our offense play decent last week? Just let them play a little! It just seemed like Carr was being really babied today. If you want to protect Carr, than run the damn football. But don't force Carr to play in this patty-cake short-pass offense. You might as well put him on the bench.
