Is Nick Foles done with Eagles?

Ok, wasn't calling you out. I keep seeing others referring to him as Jamarcus Russell II also.

They both might end up as huge busts but probably for different reasons if that happens. I think Winston will be good on the field however will his conduct keep him off like that Browns receiver?

This will be an interesting offseason as far as QBs are concerned. There are 8 teams with unsettled QB situations, not counting Denver (Manning's decision) and Arizona (Palmer's health). If the Eagles are intent on dealing Foles, they should get at least a similar package to what the Falcons received for Matt Schaub (two 2nds).

ahh, didn't know this. Hasn't Locker spent part of the last two years on IR? He'd have to be real cheap for them to be resigned I would think. I do think they will bring in another vet QB, but I think that Mettenberger is their guy.

Agreed, if he busts it won't be for the reasons Russell or Young did. It'll be more like JFF and RGIII. While it's too early to be calling either of the latter a bust, it ain't going like either had hoped.
 
I think we need to cool our jets on Foles. It is a possibility that Foles is the product of Chip Kelly system. Do anyone disagree with me?

I agree that Foles is an unlikely option. I don't think he was ever a good fit for the Kelly offense. But, that's the pro offense he knows, and would have to get up to speed with O'Brien's offense. That's something you wouldn't have to worry about with Mallett.

Yeah, Even if you ignore his rookie season (5 games active, although probably mostly healthy inactives), Locker's only been active for 25 (out of 48) games. I can't say with 100% certainty that all of those 23 games he missed were because of injury but I'm guessing they were.

Throw in the fact that there's nothing saying he's anything more than average in the games he has played, and I've got to believe Whisenhunt would like someone with either a little more history of success, or a little more upside to compete with Mettenberger.

I expect to see a deal announced with Mallett shortly after FA begins in March.

This 'leak' about the Texans being interested in Foles could be a calculated effort to add a log to the fire under Mallett to get a deal done quickly.

Or, maybe if Mallett wants to see what he's worth on the market, they have a backup plan to work a deal for Foles.

With no viable starting QB on the roster, the Texans have options. These could just be two of them.

Right, Foles looked better under Andy Reid. I always liked the guy. Maybe because I have seen him in person twice and he had 2 monster games. I do think he would be an upgrade over anyone on the Texans roster which I have to say until I see more from Mallett.

Pros should have options, backup options and backup, backup options ready before the FA period. I think we have Pros in the front office, even if they are not in traditional roles.
