this really suprises me. all of the talk, although warranted, about billy being replaced. noone will argue carr's athletic abilities at his position ... very quick feet, strength, and a cannon that's likely best in the league. what is questioned is his decision making & lack of "touch", and that's where billy shined from the get-go. carr could drop back and throw a rocket through billy's chest and it'd be a solid gain of yardage, where it was a tipped pass or a sack (because of lack of time to read) for the main wr's. with last year really being a "year of the receiving tight end", it really seems to me atleast that the texans would see how much of a threat they have. sure he's not the best blocker ... oh well. DD gets most of his yards despite being hit at (or before) the LOS anyways & carr's not going to have time to go through his entire progression nomatter who we start, this is the reason for all of the quick outs & bootlegs.
i guess my main concern is mostly the carr combo's. billy can catch, and more importantly, he can catch carr. hit him & see what happens. with carr having a real checkdown or quick out, it would make dd much more of a threat out of the backfield. options that revolve around carr's abilities (johnson, billy, DD) are what's going to make the biggest difference on offense.
