Fantasy recommendations
If you've drafted Domanick Davis or plan on drafting him but was/were concerned about his health, relax. In the game against Denver last week, Davis was nearly flawless, rushing for 49 yards on seven carries and catching two passes for 20 yards (he had a 24-yard catch-and-run and a 4-yard catch for a loss). He also had four carries for at least 9 yards, including a 20-yard scamper that saw him break three tackles. The only concern is that Houston will rest Davis occasionally during games, replacing him with Tony Hollings, who is also a good back. Davis remains a solid second-round fantasy pick in any draft.....
Fantasy sleepers
David Carr is rising up our charts thanks to the play of his receiving corps, and it's not just Andre Johnson looking good in Houston. Corey Bradford and a deep sleeper named Derick Armstrong (who Domanick Davis told us about last year) are helping Carr out a lot. They were all pretty much shut down against the Steelers but played great against Denver last week. Carr especially has looked solid, completing 22 of 31 passes for 270 yards, two touchdowns and 29 rushing yards. He's definitely a No. 2 fantasy quarterback this year and could evolve into a No. 1 in 2005.
