College football? Nope. My boys at Sam Houston State lost today. The defense is atrocious for the Bearkats. SHS plays at LSU in two weeks also. Oh boy, LSU, ranked in the top 15, may hang up a 60-burger on us. The Houston Texans and maybe the Houston Cougars will be fun to watch though.

I do understand the frustration with that call against Swearinger. However, it is quite clear that Swearinger's conduct on the field and his reputation is going to cost him any benefit of the doubt. He's loud, obnoxious, and non-stop. The officials are on the field listening to him and dealing with him threatening players and calling them out, etc...

I'm not saying that I mind. He clearly unnerves players on the other team.... including Peyton Manning, but he is also drawing the suspicion and attention of the officials.

By the way, tonight's officiating crew was excellent and the head official is my new favorite... They controlled the game, called it well, and they did nothing to draw attention to themselves.
