If yall want vince young so badly and think were gonna pick up Carrs option then why don't we convert vince into a wide receiver? he has the perfect speed, perfect size, and we can have a double threat...Andre Johnson and Vince young so Andre wont be doubled anymore.... and about the mid season next year if david carr doesnt go as we want (meaning a QB rating of below 80)... we can trade carr and we can just make VY a QB again....

I don't think :superman: SuperVince is willing to go that route.(Team Player) He wants to be the ONE. But that would be a better option for him on this team.
 
spend our #1 pick on a qb we wuna convert to wr that will go #3 as a qb
and just won his team a national championship by himself

This post almost doesn't even deserve a response....but I feel the need to call it out.....

Yeah, someone who just threw for 3036 passing yards, 26TDs and 10INTs w/ a 65.2 comp% and led his team to a National Championship as a QUARTERBACK in his last college season should really consider changing positions. Those numbers just don't cut it, right?

I could understand it if he had thrown for 1,439 passing yards, 9TDs and 7INTs w/ a 54.19 completion% in his last college season. THEN you may have a point. (Those were Michael Vick's stats BTW)
 
I'm going to take the opposite end of this grain..

Vince Young is a QB of 2006, you got to be trippin... it's about time the Texans lead by example... Pick up Vince Young why we have a chance to make a differnce... Sorry, to say that the Carr they sold us 4 years ago is just a Lemon... Let's be honest, what has David Carr produce in the last 4 years in Houston beside a B.M.W commercial???
Now, is the time to show the world that Houston can make the right decision and pick up Vince Young why we have a chance... And as for David Carr, try to make a trade with Miami for Ricky Williams. Just, think about it... two for the price of one... Two of the TOP players from the University of Texas that made and can still make a differance to the sport we call FOOTBALL...

Why trade David Carr even if you want to draft VY. It would be stupid to trade for Ricky Williams. If we draft VY we will need David Carr to stay in the Back Field for one or two more years. Nice second post by the way. It looks like a cut and paste from your first post. Oh well, welcome to the MB.

...and then maybe we can trade the rest of our draft to Detroit and get Roy Willliams and Shaun Rogers then maybe the titans will release Sloan Thomas and we can get him and and....

...and then maybe Major Applewhite can take the light rail to Reliant on Sundays and coach them all up when he's not busy at Rice and and...

...and if the Texans had only taken DJ last year .....but wait, maybe we can get Priest Holmes because LJ is the man up there now and hey, why not rename our field Mack Brown field AT Reliant Stadium.....whoa ,that's a great idea and and ....

I wonder if Casey Hampton is a free agent....whatever..let's get him too....

Pretty aggressive off season game plan there, have you even bothered to look into the cap implications? Moreover, where is the Greg Davis love? :)
 
This city is full of Houstonians.. you cant tell me that at least 50 of them could have latent football talent. We need to do city wide tryouts. An all Houstonian team would be a lock for the superbowl by the 10th week next season.

Don't forget about trading Pbuc straight up for Quintin Jammer, and trading next years 2nd rounder for Nathan Vasher.:rolleyes:

The Texans are doomed to mediocrity if they dont draft every UT player :superman: that comes into the draft. Don't you realize that VY won the national championship all by himself. No blocking no tackling no receptions no defense just VY all by himself. I know this is true because all the sippers on this site have told me so. I am now so convinced, that if I did have season tickets I would return them if they don't draft VY...:sarcasm:
