If we wait a few years to get a qb, look who's there

Next Year:Chris Leak from Florida, Vince Young, Omar Jacobs from Bowling Green, Drew Tate from Iowa, and Brady Quinn from Notre Dame

2 Years:Chad Henne from Michigan and Erik Ainge from Tennessee

3 Years:This is a stretch, but either Drew Weatherford or Xavier Lee from FSU, both are good freshman, and either one could start and succeed at Florida St.

I think our top 3 needs for the draft are:

Offensive Line, Defensive Backs, and Linebackers.

Offensive Line is obvious

DBs-Colemans getting old but we could use some help at cornerback so...
either Jimmy Williams CB Virginia Tech or Jaxson Appel FS Texas A&M

If we wait, we could still get Greg Blue from Georgia or Greg Threat from Miami in the 2nd or 3rd round

Linebackers-Really just Inside Linebackers. There aren't any real standouts. If we went Outside I'd skip A.J. Hawk and take Demeco Ryans out of Alabama. I watched him play this afternoon. The man is mean.

I know everyone wants an offensive lineman, but is there anyone worth a number 1 pick available. I don't see anyone besides VaTechs Williams that is a solid top ten.

Maybe we should get Carr another receiving target, say, Greg Lee of Pitt. or if he goes TE Leonard Pope from Georgia.

Leak - Overrated. Small. System QB.

Young - Most upside of the "Next year" qbs you posted. I personally dont have a problem with his delivery because hes tall enough for it to not be a problem.

Jacobs - Coming out this year. Should be top 15.

Drew Tate - Guy has no arm, whatsoever.

Quinn - Really like him. Good footwork and decision making.

Henne - Awful.

Ainge - Can't comment, I cant watch UT games.
 
Ainge tends to overthrow his receivers, but he's quick for a 6'6 pocket quarterback. He'll develop nicely
 
I don't think we have enough draft picks to fill all our needs... No since in getting another QB wihtout fixing our O-Line. I'm guessing we go to FA for that.
 
This is a little off topic but, next season, we should seriously consider Ernie Sims, the LB from Florida State. He's got great hands, and not only does he tackle consistently, he punishes anyone who dares to venture across the middle of the field.

Hope Ahmad Brooks stays in school.
 
I love fearless linebackers. Ray Lewis is the best example. He gives everything, everyplay. His hits get the crowd into the game.
