If the Texans don't take Young, would they be interested in the other Reggie?

I'm curious on everyone's opinion on this one. If the Texans don't take Vince Young (which as much as I like Vince, I don't believe they won't), would they take Reggie Mc Neal on the Second Day of the Draft? I wouldn't mind Reggie Bush (I like him as well), Mc Neal, some good linemen on both sides of the ball, and a good tight end. What is everyone else's take?

I doubt it, because we have Ragone (is Banks going to be back? w/o looking it up, not sure what his contract is.)

In my experience watching the NFL, you don't draft a QB unless you are uncertain of your starter or he is getting old. In either case, it seems like Houston is certain of Carr. Still, it's a possibility.

I'd probably rather have Reggie McNeal than Banks or Ragone but I'm not sure I see that happening unless he's available in the 6th-7th round.

I dont think Reggie McNeal will be a qb in the nfl. I am a big aggie fan and Reggie is one of my all time favorite college players but i think he will be better suited for a wr in the nfl. He is tall and has crazy speed. He needs to put on a little muscle but i think he can be a great deep threat and with a few years of work he could turn in to a well rounded wr.

McNeal is just as raw as Young.. im with MorKnolle.. id take him as a late rounder just to see if he couldnt be molded into an NFL talent.. but he wont be available that late. And this is coming from an Aggie.

I think there is a fairly good chance he could be a WR too.

Isn't McNeal only 6'0"? I guess that is reasonably big for a WR but I wouldn't really consider it tall.

He was listed in college at 6'-2" 209lbs (got that info off ESPN.COM). Remember, pre-season everyone was saying he was a better NFL ready QB than Vince (actually has better mechanics and a pretty strong arm). Better pocket presences, with very good speed, not low 4.3 speed like Vince but high 4.3/low 4.4 speed. I know that was pre-season and vince had the best passing rating in the nation but he doesn't/didn't have the same talent around him than Vince. I would prefer him over Ragone and Banks as well. Ragone isn't very elusive and Banks is getting old. If David isn't the answer in this system after 2 years, you have someone that has studied the system and had time to get NFL ready without all the pressure in my opinion.

FYI, Vince doesn't have low 4.3 speed, his scouting report currently has him at 4.45 and Reggie McNeal at 4.35, but we'll have to see what they do at the combine if they run, and if not at their pro days/workouts.

I stand corrected. Thanks

No offense but Reggie is not known as much of a gamer. And didn't he essentially quit on his team this year when the coach said McGee was going to get snaps? Not the kind of attitude I'd ever want to bring in as a possible QB. I don't care what the talent.
