As great of a talent that Carr is we cannot win with him at the helm.

We have made numerous personnel changes over the course of our brief history, except at QB. Since we need to protect our investment and he does not perform up to unlimited potential under pressure, when will we rest Carr?

Yes but have we had changes on the O-line? No, we have kept the usual suspects around.

But the question you have to ask, is Carr shell shocked?? Does he need to be let go for a fresh start for us just as much as him?

I dont think you rest him. You evaluate if he is the right guy over these next 4 games. After that you simply hope that he can get some type of rythim and confidence that will go into next season.

Tony Banks' arm is too weak to be the starter for too many games. Ragone has proved that he can succeed with roster fillers against roster fillers. BTW, his favorite reciever wore the NY logo, yet I don't think he's with my 2nd favorite NFL team.

Coach I agree with that statement maybe at the beginning of the year. But if the talent around him is that bad then waht do you expect to see? There comes a moment when a staff tries to provide to much confidence for one player to the detriment of the team.

I'll tell you what. I'm a Carr supporter, however, I do think that he needs to be benched at this point. Bring in Tony Banks or Dave Ragone for competition's sake.

Players getting bonehead penalties should be torn a new one from the spot of the penalty all the way back to the sideline. Ultimately benched if they were to be penalized again. The players should not mouth off to the coach, THE HEAD COACH at that. If the head coach is disrespected and three times is caught on national television, that coach has gotta go b/c it is obvious that he does not have control of the team.

At this point I still say you give Carr that chance to play and try to win games and see if we can get some kind of positive momentum going at the end of the year and give him some confidence going into next season. Look how the negative momentum of losing against Cleveland last year has hurt. I do however think we should rest him at the end of game when the outcome has already been decided, like the Kansas City one. In a sense it would be good to let him play and try to get something going, but still if we're down by 20+ in the closing minutes, rest him and let Ragone get a bit of PT so these people on the boards will stop whining to see him play. Although, with our remaining schedule I doubt we will be blown out of any games the rest of the year.

This is what I am concerned about. Why do we keep worrying about DC getting positive momentum next year? We need to think about the other 52 players and what type of bounce they will get. Carr is not driving this team. There will be a talent drop off from DC to TB or DR, but we may get a spark that has not been here in some time.

I dont want to sound pesimistic wich im sure i will but ide be scared of putting TB out there he might lead us to a win and i cant have that i rather keep it safe knowing that david carr cant pull out a win. hell if gets us to loose everygame from know ide say give him the bonus for locking up R.bush for us. im sorry but i dont want to risk it and win a game here or there with TB Or Dr being the Qb lets stick with whats safe let David lead us on our 1 win season.

If Carr wants his bonus, he'd better show he deserves it. Leave him in.

That said, if the decision's made to sit Carr later in the year, there's absolutely no point in playing Banks. He'll never start in the NFL again. Give Ragone the rock and let's see what he can do in the big league.

Holy Jesu! Haven't you done ENOUGH EVALUATION OF THE SLACKER CARR yet? He throws nowhere. Sometimes he manages to hit a receiver. More often he dies in the pocket, throws into dirt, throws over, under, sideways, behind, over the head of, out of reach of, beyond, not near the receiver. And when not that, he throws into space where nobody is.

David Carr is the greatest have you not seen any of his fresno state games.:sarcasm: and he is the best Qb in the NFL

Now i've been a main supporter of Carr since he's been with our ball club.. but I've seen plays in the Raven's game where he just wasnt feeling the pressure.. he didnt step up in the pocket (and there was no rush up in the middle) and give hisself some time to make the throw.. either we gotta completely re-tool Carr and his mechanics in the pocket or we should taking a look at Lienart or Omar Jacobs from Bowling Green...

At this point, what does it matter?

Carr can't win for us. So why not play Banks or Ragone? Hell, put in DD at QB, again, given the performance the last two weeks, what does it matter?

Many of the players on this team will not be back next year. They should be playing for next years paycheck now!

Good to see other's are starting to see the limitations of our franchise QB. Our QB lacks the intangibles - vision, reading defenses, footwork.
