Ideas For A Better Texan Team In 2007-2008

This may sound absured, but do we have any players we can give away to the Raiders or any picks for maybe Derrick Burgesses (I know he's their best player but can that happen?)

1. What's up with this hype about Corey Redding?

2. Adalius Thomas is in the FA...right? How about him next to DeMeco Ryans next year sound?

3. If we take Adrian Peterson like so many of you responded in my poll, what happens to Ron Dayne, Wali Lundy, Chris Talyor?

4. Could Kevin Kolb play for the Texans and maybe become our franchise QB?

5. Here's how I hope our D would look (Some of you may think I am dreaming, but seriosuly how about this *I am considering injured players won't be back (e.g. Seth Payne???)

Don't think we should give away any picks to get him (can just use our own picks to draft DE) and we don't have the players to trade either

1. What's up with this hype about Corey Redding?
Had a good year last year when moved inside from DE to DT, is from here so may want to escape Detroit and come home, would be a solid addition to a rotation with Johnson and Maddox

2. Adalius Thomas is in the FA...right? How about him next to DeMeco Ryans next year sound?
Sounds good, but Thomas will probably be the most sought after LB in FA, especially since its beginning to sound like Briggs won't be leaving the Bears, so he will probably be too expensive to sign

3. If we take Adrian Peterson like so many of you responded in my poll, what happens to Ron Dayne, Wali Lundy, Chris Talyor?
Dayne probably remains the backup, Lundy was far too inconsistent and would really have to step up in training camp to keep a spot on the roster, Taylor would be in the same situation as Lundy but could be placed on the practice squad while Lundy could not

4. Could Kevin Kolb play for the Texans and maybe become our franchise QB?
He could play for the Texans, but after the Senoir Bowl, I wouldn't pick him before the 4th

Clements will not come here because he wants to be the highest paid CB in football, would rather get a FS to replace Brown any way, there is no way that you could sign both Thomas and Clements in the smae offseason unless we pay them with Monopoly money, Babin is not an every down DE

I'd much rather take Drew Stanton in the second, or groom Van Pelt to be our guy.

Clements won't come to Houston. He may use us to boost his value elsewhere, but he won't be coming to Houston.

If we draft Peterson, we won't resign Dayne..... I don't see Kubiak not resigning Dayne, I also don't expect Peterson to be around at the #8 spot.

Dayne is going to be our Jerome Bettis.

The only way you will see Texans uniforms in the playoffs next year is to switch with the Colts...otherwise until we get more solid on defense and the o-line I say 9-7 next year!

Agreed Sarge. Lots of over estimainting on tallent goes on around here. Kinda like watching the dog on the porch chasing it's tail. Entertaining, but fruitless.
