Look guys, I know how to convert a DVD clip into an .avi file and thus upload it to YouTube.

Someone PM me and I'll give you my mailing address. Send it to me 2-3 Day priority from the Post Office in a padded mailer. Once I have it, I can upload it within a day or two at the most.

I ain't paying for the shipping to me (It's between $4 and $5 to do 2-3 Day Priority from Post Office). And I ain't paying for it to get back home to you. And it'd be nice if you'd ONLY record the play before the hit, the play where Mario hits the dude, and then the play after the hit so that I don't have to weed through the whole game to find the clip. Getting the play before, during, and after is enough to allow me the ability to make a good edit on it.

I'm tired of seeing all these posts about "wishing there was a way to see it on YouTube."

I'll do it if you get me the disc. Make sure you use a DVD-R disc because those play in almost all DVD players. DVD+R are sometimes sloppy.

If it gets mailed to me tomorrow, I might have it up by the weekend. I was stupid and erased it from my DirecTV DVR. Wished I hadn't done that now....

If you use UnCut Video, you don't even have to convert the file if you have it in any sort of digital form. I don't know how to do that or what is involved, but I've been told that. Also can upload directly from your mobile phone.

Yes, you're right.

You need a firewire cable to run from your output source (DVD player or other device that contains the footage) which then feeds into the computer's firewire port...then, you can use YouTube's toolbox to complete the project.

Not hard, IMO.

If I had the footage, I could have had it up already.

Who knows, maybe someone's getting it done right now as we speak (err, type).

If someone sends it to me, I can do it. Nobody's Private Messaged me yet, though. And I ain't gonna' post my street address for everyone to see. So if you have a DVD burner and burn it to a DVD-R disc...Private Message me and I'll give you my street address.

Heck, I think I'l start adding Mario Williams and Demeco Ryans highlights to YouTube now (from now on). That'd be a cool hobby that lots of us would enjoy, eh?

I wish they would have gotten the aftermath of R. Williams stumbling cross-eyed to the sideline.

The Earl hit is better just because of the circumstances... breaks up TD catch, small guy hits big guy and the fact that shockey is a loud mouth.

Mario's hit was all about damage points!! Reminded me of Bradshaw's old "Clothes Line from Hell"

Not in mine, I like this one better than those. The Earl/Shockey hit was great because it separated the Shockey from the ball; the Demeco/Garrard hit allowed us to get a pick. So those two hits were more productive. But neither of them left the hittee laying on the ground wondering if it was safe to get back up.

I think that Williams hit was worse....

I didn't see it initially, but I saw the after affect, and Reggie Williams was hurtin...

He devoured that man...

But it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be...
 
He layed Reggie W out.

Legs were stuck out straight in mid-air. Arms flailing, too.

You can see him just sort of bounce when his body hit the ground.

That's the sort of stuff that shakes up a ball carrier for awhile. It always stays in the back of his mind when he plays us.

"Where's the beast? Where's the beast?" he'll repeat in his mind if they call that play again on us.
 
It just looks like any 300 pounder hitting a wr...that hit wasn't anything special. Seems we are reaching to make Mario's game more impressive than it is. Someone queue the NFL Films music please.

I will admit that when a DE hits a WR it should be game over for the kid.

But when your feet hit the sky higher than your head you know you got jacked up, no matter who hit you.

Or maybe it is because those of us who saw it and did not get a replay of it wanted to view it again. Where would such fans come to ask for this clip and discuss and cause the residual "hype?"

Call me crazy but it is a simple case of supply and demand.
 
It's the same rationale as Reggie dancing for 40 yards for a 3 yard gain or VY breaking a tackle. Fans want to make things bigger than they are. No biggie, its natural.

It was a good hit. Totally insignificant seeing as how Reggie didn't even have the ball, but a good hit none-the-less. Was it being overhyped by some, sure, but I don't think it is out of line to want to see a replay of our first round draft pick laying somebody out. Your senseless overreaction against the hype is just as bad as the people overreacting to it.

I find humor in strange nooks and crannies methinky. Some of the stuff people "get offended" by when I post are things I'm finding a bit of humor in, and people have to make sure they expose the evil of Vinny. I'm pretty dry and cynical....I know I come across poorly at times.

I personally could not view the link, but am looking forward to seeing it again. Upon further review I may reminisce about how the Stork used to clothesline guys or may just say cool and move on. A large component of hype is inflated demand due to little supply. This type of hype, in my opinion, is exclusive of over exposure for no reason other than to promote an agenda (ESPN and Bush).
 
I've seen it over and over now and I'm sorry I still think it was a HUGE hit and only wish there were a closer look at the play and about a second and a half longer.
 
Nice hit, but a bit overhyped. Look at the size comparison, its like me closelining my four year old brother. (Not really, but you get the idea)

Personally, I thought Mario was just doing what he's supposed to do. Now if Reggie would've had the ball when taking on that hit, it would've been an outstanding hit throughout the National media. If Reggie did have the ball, took the hit, fumbled the ball, ending with Mario getting up and taking the ball to the house, then.......dang! Daydreamin again. I need to get back to work. LOL!

But when you say look at the size comparison what do you mean ?

That Mario should have done more damage ?

Should he have gone through the guy ? Killed him ?

How much more devastating "should" it have been ?

300 pounds versus 223 pounds. What I was trying to say is whenever a big guy has a shot like that, the hit is gonna be big.
 
That Youtube clip clearly doesn't do it justice. I watched it a few times on the DVR, you can hear the crack of the pads and someone in the background let out a cringing ooooh. It was a crushing hit but unfortunately they didn't have a replay at a decent angle. The color guy talked about RW having a hard time getting up and nearly being 'decapitated' but then they moved on to the next play. I wish I could have seen a field level shot of the hit. It didn't get play because it was away from the play. RW is no small dude but he looked like Ernest Givens getting hammered over the middle on that one.
 
if they had given RW the ball.. the tone of the thread would have changed.

It would have rivaled Glenn Earl's play.(made an impact)

why? because it would have a so called "impact play" knocked him down roughly 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage. It would have been a negative yardage play and that is what Mario Williams was drafted for and getting paid big bucks for.
 
Pretty good stick by Mario considering he didn't get full contact on Williams and he seemed a little off balance. It's always nice to see a WR get de-cleated unexpectedly, but I would like to see Mario nail a ballcarrier in the same fashion this week.
 
Michael Smith from ESPN.com was just on SR610 with Lance and he (Michael) talked about how Mario "blew up" Reggie on that hit.

Smith was asked by Lance to assess Mario (and RB and VY) in general and was not led into discussing that hit or even that game in particular.

So apparently there's a few people out there, even national media people, that thought it was worth mentioning.
 
At the risk of being "labelled" a chicken little, I thought it was a nice shot myself. The best though was the brief moment they showed Reggie "walking" to the sidelines .... reminded me of Bodansky after he took the first two passes in the nether-region .....

It is one of those things, if he had the ball, he probably would have fumbled on that hit(i'd be suprised if he wouldn't) and it would have made the Jacked up segment (for williams wrong place wrong time to get ball).

I am not saying the hit was the greatest hit I ever seen, but see my previous post on this subject
 
It's not just the hit but the speed and power on display. He barely swiped at the guy and Williams goes flying like a rag doll. Mario doesn't break stride. He just kept going like he was King Kong looking for Naomi Watts after he grabbed the wrong blonde.
