I got accused by some fans (not on this board) of being a negative Nancy picking us to go 6-10. I see now after watching a month of this team that I am way too optimistic.

My point is that Arians basically did the same thing we did. He brought in a Vet QB with some issues & a career back up with potential. Both of those QBs played well enough to get the Cardinals in the play offs last year.

Worked out for Arians. Didn't work out for OB

Drew Stanton wasn't very good last year. Carson Palmer had a pretty solid NFL resume before landing with the Cardinals. The Texans have no QB with any real NFL pedigree and that's just a stupid way to approach an NFL season.

It is not about being a "sunshiner" or "realist", it's about being a good fan or bad fun. Some of you that insist on spouting bile going "OMG WE SUCK! FIRE EVERYONE!" or "WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A LOSING SEASON AGAIN!" make think you guys are clever, but you really aren't. You guys are just a bunch of losers spouting hate with a stick up your respective asses. See here is the thing, games are played for a reason, because you never know what surprises could happen. A player could break out ala Foster. A rookie could turn out to be the next Watt. Savage could hit his head and wake up a genius. There is hope and that's what REAL fans do; we hope for the best for our team. Could that hope be dashed and stomped on in the most cruel and unusual way? Sure it could, but who gives a flying crap? The bottom line is, you hope and root for the team to succeed. Rather than hear bitches whine, I rather hear people discuss things of substance, like why our much vaunted secondary is under preforming so much and what people think about Clowney's progress, not some idiocy spouted by idiot posters whose brains are only filled with hate and a sad urge to prove themselves right. Simple fact, we don't give a crap that you think you are right. We want to watch the Texans play and we wish and hope for them to succeed.

Same thing that was said in the begining, No QB/Foster is going to miss time, the defense has to step up (So far they've failed) just to go 7-9, 9-7. The problem is the talent level and the lack of depth. I mean, Rick had to sign his starting SS off of the street late in camp. (Demps) That should tell you something is wrong at the top.

Good news is they play the Colts/Jags/Tits 6 tiemes, if they can go 5-1 (Possible) then they will only have to find 3 wins to make the playoffs. (Doable)
