I rather draft Reggie Mc. Neil

Daonly

Waterboy
top of the 4th round. Take Reggie Bush 1st overall. Then will have an Aggie Coach, and take all the Aggie Fans and turn them to Texans Fans!

Pick up my boy Rocky Benard DT from Seattle in free agency. another Aggie. Life would be great! I think Kubes can teach both Carr, and Mc Neil, plus we can use Reggie like how the Steelers us Randle EL/Slash.

If Carr don't work out will have Reggie Already groom to take over. He's just as good as Vince Young just a slight below, but you don't have to pay him 50 million bucks to start out with during growing pains.

I hope they do not draft this kid. I had to suffer watching his games over his career and it drove me insane.

Why did it drive you insane? Until this year, Reggie had developed more than Young and had many impressive games.

Your right, I should rephrase. I would not mind them drafting him as a flier in the 6th or 7th round.

I would consider him in the 5th round. I think he might be gone by this pick, however.

Thats actually a great idea. I would draft him as a WR I think he runs a 4.3. So he could help stretch the field for AJ once he gets some experience. That would give us so many options for trick plays.

And you would only have to carry 2 QBs on your roster. McNeil could have a small portion of the playbook and if worse comes to worst he could do it.

We need another DT like my male boxer needs another nipple.

I agree. If we move to the 4-3 we will have 4 or 5 guys at the position. All we need on the d-line or de's.

Yea, cause Mc Neil was such a great leader at Texas A & M. When this happens, tell all the Aggie fans i have eight psl's i will gladly sell them.

McNeal is a young Aaron Brooks, great one game and horrible the next. No thanks.
We dont mean as our starting Qb or even second string. He could play WR and QB if needed while only taking up one roster spot and he would give us the option for some WR passing plays. Not to mention he runs a 4.30.

Rumor has it that Reggie is extremely unwilling to change positions, though...Even if he were to change positions, it would be to FS, not WR...I've heard he has bad hands, so if we converted him, he'd be like another Bradford...

Well if he is unwilling to change positions then he is going to have an excellent career in Arena Football or the CFL. Maybe he can lead his team to the Gray Cup.

I would'nt be upset if we picked him and i have a great disdain for aggies but this is the NFL. Having said that i would'nt use anything higher than a sixth round pick on him.

I guess that settles that. We have one to many Bradfords on our team already.

Payne is one year into a new contract. He would cost as much to cut as to keep. He isn't going anywhere next year.

Well Gary Walker Got Cut, So I don't see why Rocky Benard may come on board for cheap. :homer:

Gary hasn't actually been cut yet. With the way the no deal on the CBA is working strange things are happening.

As an Aggie, watching Reggie this year became rough. With many receivers going down with injuries, his timing was off with the new set of receivers. That being said, he has tons of talent and I think he could become more of a Randel-El type player with his 4.37 speed. I wouldn't pick him up early though, too many other holes to fill.

Reggie wasn't perfect, but his last season he had little protection and a receiving corps decimated by injury to work with. I'm with the 'convert him to WR' camp. He would be worth a 4th round pick and perhaps a 3rd (#66). Would be nice for trick plays such as the end around and/or receiver pass.

He has a cannon for an arm and 4.3 speed. Could add a nice wrinkle to an offense which is shaping up to be fairly diverse and high powered.

no way we spend a third on him. Or at least I'd fall over if we did. We don't need a project player this year in the draft. We need players. Period.

I wish Reggie the best, but I doubt he makes it as a QB. I wouldn't mind picking him up in a later round (6th on), but if we are going to pick up a QB project, lets take a look at Eugene from Grambling. Given that I haven't seen Eugene on any of the top 10 lists of QBs in this draft, I bet he would be allot more flexable on being a project. If he doesn't work out as a QB, give him a shot at TE/FB/Slot Receiver.

Aggie '96

If he wants to make it in the NFL then he'll have to seriously think about making the switch. QB obviously has pull for him since he's played that and there's plenty of money at that position in the league. In addition, teams always look for QBs so if he was going to be drafted high it'd be more likely by a team looking for a QB.

I think from round 3 on down the team should consider him. He has game breaking speed and versatility.

Reggie has a nice arm but his twig like legs are suspect.I really liked watching him play Highschool ball. That being said if Vince's body wont be able to stand the punishment of the NFL, How could you (Aggie fans probably)expect Reggie to be any better? I swear man you guys kill me.

Reggie McNeil as a QB is a second day project guy much like Seneca Wallace. Reggie McNeil as a WR is a first day prospect that is almost 6-2 and can fly. If Reggie's agent was smart he would have told him show that you can play WR and he could possibly have a rise similar to Jones last year, likely would not hit the first round, but Pitt might look at him at the bottom of the second.

It figures a person who has a man crush on VY would say something like that. I bet he would turn into a fine WR on the NFL level, if he is willing to switch. Our 4th round pick would be perfect to take this guy. Remember, Hines Ward and Randel El were both QB's in college. Matt Jones also had a great season for a guy who switched positions to WR from QB. This actually sums up my thinking for Vince Young. I think he would become an amazing WR, if QB doesn't work out for him.
