I Just turned on Madden

And you know how they have the "EA Sports...Its in the game", then they show a clip of a random player at the pro-bowl, and he says "EA Sports...Its in the game" while they show some of his highlights?

Well this time it just happened that Dwight Freeney was the pro-bowler that the game randomly picked and 2 of his 3 highlight clips were of him sacking David car in mid drop back. Just something that I thought was ironic.

David Carr needs to be smarter in the pocket. Plus he is the easiest person to get a clip of being sacked

Really, I didnt know that, id think with his line hed never get sacked.

Hasn't everyone noticed that anytime a football sports broadcast needs clips of a player hitting the QB, they go straight to the Texans game film to start adding clips for the highlight reel? Seems like every decent DE and LB in the league has at least one hit on Carr, if not a sack...

A great example of irony, is that the Texans two weakest areas on the team are O-line and pass-rush with suitable options in those areas, yet they are likely drafting in an area of strength, RB.
 
Actually MichaelM, the ironic thing about Alanis M's song "Ironic" is that all of the "examples" of things being ironic, are not actual examples of ironic situations.....that is why the song is called "ironic".

It is ironic that her song called "ironic" does not have any examples of irony, just bad coincidences....."...like rain on your wedding day..."

It was ironic becuase I had posted about how weak the o-line was as I was turning Madden on and then I turned around and see Carr getting sacked on my TV.

The only pocket David Carr has ever seen in a Texans uniform is the pocket in front of his pants.

The Texans have to give permission to have people show those plays....right...?

I think you are giving the girl a little too much credit. That seems like an explaination made up by a song writer after someone points out the error in her use of words...
What I heard was that she actually wrote the words for all of the songs on that LP in about 45 minutes. If true, that's pretty impressive. But I personally believe she just used the word incorrectly.
I will grant you that may be ironic that the song titled 'Isn't Ironic?' has no examples of irony within, but I don't believe that was the intended idea.
