I don't think is a question of "respect" but...

Hervoyel

BUENO!
Things like this do tick me off. Every week I go to NFL.com and watch for information on my team. Like fans everywhere I want every single tidbit of info I can find about the Texans and as the week moves along I head over to check out the preview of the upcoming game.

Here's this weeks preview

Three quarters of this mess is about the friggin Titans! The only reason the Texans get mentioned before the last quarter of the article is that they beat the Titans the last time they met!

It's like this week in and week out. The Texans game "preview" is an in depth discussion of whoever they're playing that week with a little blurb on the end of it about the "other" team playing in this game. I'm not a frequent "RESPECT! WHERE'S THE RESPECT" complainer either and I can understand why the Texans don't get the press that many other teams in the league get. They aren't there yet and have done almost nothing to merit serious media attention.

But the preview barely mentioning us? That's just stupid. I'm going to quit bothering to read this thing. There's no point.

Maybe we'll get lucky and have the ESPN anouncers from last weeks game. That way we might get more attention even if it's only cuz they screwed up the names yet again. It could almost be turned into a drinking game.

The Titans have won two of their last 3 and we haven't.

It's actually kind of pointless to worry about national attention anyway, I think, because everyone else is just looking at their team to see what attention it's getting. Nobody notices any other teams, just theirs and the one their about to play. Everyone is worried about what everyone else is reading, when, in reality, they're the only ones reading it!

The way to get more fans, especially outside of your own city, is to just win baby. Win enough and people in North Dakota will be rooting for the Houston Texans, regardless of what the media says (or doesn't say).

PS-I think there's a few people who actually live in North Dakota, believe it or not.

I agree. Until the Texans start winning there won't be any media attention. Then again, the media isn't exactly the most honest or fair group of individuals at times. However, you can't expect them to waste time and money talking about a team that has always struggled when they can talk about a team that is winning or is struggling uncharacteristicly.

Yes there sure are, and they aren't all Chippewas or Sioux Indians .. Although that is where I had my first ever encounter with a Native American, in ND. It totally destroyed my textbook/TV/movie image forever though ... ..
this handsome hunk drove up beside us, got out of his big shiny Cadillac Eldorado convertible, tanned, buffed and wearing only white docker type pants and a headband around his long black hair.
Sassy was speechless and impressed! :D
The Dakotas are a very cool place to visit, as are all the western states.
